Anyone know what the last working version of HDMI is? I upgraded from 2.4 to 2.5 last night, BT works but HDMI doesn't. I would update to 2.5.1 but I prefer batt life to overclocking.

I would say 2.4 but there is an 2.5.2 update L has been working on

Thank you for your work, Idrifta. I have some points about this 1.5.1 update that I want to share with everyone.

I like the new OC kernel. I've gotten 12h 20m 18s of battery life at 1.9 Ghz with 36% of the battery remaining and I've been messing with this thing all day. But, I'm on a custom extended battery; it's better than the one Metro or Verizon sell. If the battery is not available, I have one laying around somewhere that I could be persuaded to sell. I also use EZ Battery Saver, which helps a lot with controlling my mobile and wifi network usage.

However, I have some discrepancies that I want to discuss:

Idrifta mentioned in the original post:

If you choose to OC the rom, (Using No-Frills) on top right corner of app should be an icon looks like 3 small boxes, select it and go to settings, Enable "Prevent changes" & Enable "Disable safety valve" so the Gvnrs will stick, and req's stick after reboot

I did not see a "prevent changes" value. Am I missing something? The "disable safety valve" is there and checked. I noticed the governor won't stick. It comes on boot and then goes to "on demand". I can get it back if I open the program and apply again; I have the widget on my screen so I can tap it and verify this stuff. Am I missing the setting for the prevent changes?

Originally, I was going to make this post to ask for solutions. But, I was googling around while writing this post just to make sure I did not miss the setting, somehow.

I was able to find a solution, but I'm still testing it. I deleted No Frills CPU and downloaded No Frills CPU Classic from the market. If you use the menu button and go into settings, all the settings mentioned in Idrifta's original post appear. I checked these and used the Classic widget. So far, I'm still running the smoothass governor! =)

I'm getting great battery life with this new kernel and the OC is nice. I hope you'll keep the OC option in any updates. Thank you for your work.

Woah, please indulge me with your secret. Did you put a new kernel on your phone other than what was in 2.5.1? I ran 2.5.1 and got about 4 hours of battery life. Amidoinitrite?

Edit: You have an extended battery? Did you notice any drop in battery life from previous versions?

thanks again for all the time and efffort your putting into this.
i remember you saying some where that you had this rom and kernel on github? if so can you throw a link in the op?
got my new machine and i wanna finally try out GRP:D
grp? green rom project? lol or are we talking about something else... and i only have a github for the kernel.. nothing for rom because nobody i know can get the lg sources to compile the stock rom... lol check the kernel(s) thread for github link-age :D

alright im ******ed LOL shoulda just did this a while ago... :( instead of making you all wait untill i finaly fix the damn contacts.. im just gonna throw the new kernel right here in the mix of it all :D, but "officially" i wont consider it released untill i hear the feedback on it... so you guys will just have a leaked version :D LOL i guess.... so if anyone thinks it's better than 1.2 (i kinda think it is..) than i will make the decision... plus ill just leave a link for both kernel in rom's op once i get the update finished..

Awesome I will definitely try it out, how can I go about installing the kernal only do I follow the same steps as installing a rom? I just use rom manager.

Another question, When I press the power button does anyone else have some lag or a few seconds before the screen comes on? Sometimes the screen wont even come on and I have to press the button multiple times :( Very Frustrating. Tried reinstalling roms doesn't make a difference.

Hooooolllly shhhhhh....... driftizzle. You're the shizniz dude. Been running 1.3 on 2.5 for about 20 min now, at 1400. This baby is smooth & super fast. Yeah lol I know it'll eat my battery, but I like the speed. That's what chargers are made for lol

This may be a dumb question but I've never done it before... is there a way to back up my rom with all my settings, apps, contacts, etc without losing anything, then flash 2.5 to try it, and flash back to my existing rom without having lost anything?

Yes just go to backup in cwm easy as pie

No, they're not. Click on smartass2, back out, go back in ondemand comes up instead. But still working pretty darn good running @ 1.4

After reading the instruction colored in red, the gov of my of many Rom actually sticked to any given gov. Follow the instruction on the OP.
