Root [ROM] Number Two (#2) v3.0.1 {ZVE}

Hey L, Have a question...... every time I try the updates,beyond the 2.5version, I seem to have lag and other little problems.....I always do a data restore which is coming from a 2.5 backup, could this be affecting the ROM?

If so, what is the correct way to restore data from a previous version? Im thinking that maybe the backup has something in it thats affecting the newer versions(that allow OC'ing, I believe you said you made changes to the framework or something??) so how do you recommend that I restore my apps & data that goes along with them?

well.. i personally would just start with the clean slate.. the newest update is very slimmed and different from previous versions so the data may not agree with the system.. but if yu MUST keep them just try 1 at a time..? lol
 
L this version is definitely my favorite very responsive snappy everywhere no matter which launcher I use I don't think the auto rotation has been so quick and I'm running so many things that should cause lag but none at all only thing that lags is Swype beta but I imagine they will never fix that and nothing to do with the room any how but if this was a test Rom awesome job imo good enough to b a final
 
I think this is it. I have been using it since you posted it And have not had any problems whatsoever with it.
 
it seems to not be reading my internal or external memory .but the file explorer is and when i want to listen to music i have to unmount the sd card and wait over 10 min for the remount . if there a fix please help.

i know this may sound silly but did you try restarting the device?
 
yes iv tried that multiple times and seem to work at first but later on its as if i don't even have and SD card in my phone. i have also done a clean flash 3 times .

Try copying all files from sd to PC, reformat card, then copy back to card.. Sometimes somethings get corrupt and strange things happen..

hmm... for the hell of it try toggling the signature checker in CWM.. see if that changes anything :D

maybe a bad download.. Download to PC them copy to sd..

I downloaded from the phone this time,no errors, waiting for it to boot up and check this baby out!!!! ;)

now that i was able to flash it,my ? is instead of configuring all over agian,can i go into cwm and restore my back up ,where everything would be how i had it,the backup is#2 2.5 ,i had my phone just right and now i flashed the #2 update,would it work or put me bk at 2.5? couldnt find anything posted,sorry if it was already asked. thank you:confused:

You can try doing an advanced restore and just select data.. Just wipe dalvik and cache but no guarantee it will be up to par..

awesome!!! glad to hear this guys!! lol, im almost finished up here with the final release, i promise i didn't change ANY tweaks from the test, just did some more theme touch-ups, removed those crazy ics animations, added ics ringers etc.., mod statusbar to be transparent (it looks bad-a$$) :D and some minor touch-ups and app updates, youtube is now stored in data and keeps it's original market name so hopefully there wont be update issues with it again.. build.prop is basically empty guys.. lol only kept battery tweaks and dumb things like 270 rotation etc.., init.d only has the smoothscroll thing and a read_ahead fix set at 1024, did some reading on it and there is truely no reason to go higher than that.. i notice absolutely no difference from 1024 to 4096 and i have a 16g sd card with like 4 movies and tuns of music.. so trust me it works fast lol, finally found a suit-able background to set as default, and added some cool new wallpapers to the wallpaper apk :D

haha oops is this the changelog? :D
 
o and 1 more thing... this was an issue in the past i forget who pointed it out... but it is officially solved!! :D the stupid auto-brightness thing lol, guess what was causing it to act all screwy?? the damn ics animations!!! as soon as i got rid of them it stopped ;)
