Root [ROM] Number Two (#2) v3.0.1 {ZVE}

ok so here's something.. lol i did this

changed this

ro.ril.wake_lock_timeout=45000 (45 seconds)

to this

ro.ril.wake_lock_timeout=0

and now have this

haha yeah i always keep data off, but i actually just turned it on and im gonna leave it on all day :D

i just started doing like heavy web browsing and started streaming a few videos and it was still at 100% lol so i rebooted then is said 98%, but thats with almost 2 hours being unplugged lol, but then i started to do more heavy web browsing and streamed a video again for just a few minutes then when finished the battery went down only 1 % was a good 10-15 minutes total of actually putting my data plan to good use lol o and i updated maps :D, only took 1% for all that im still at 97% :D hope it stays this good all day haha

All good ...im not complaining...... was just wondering what trix u batt savers use lol....

loving the rom...:D so should i wait for official v2 to flash my peeps phones ??? or will it just be a couple of build settings ???

I would say use juice defender but I can't get it to work properly on this phone.

ya i installed that once with my previous rom...didnt get to into it...but some say it works.... ill install again when ever have time to play with it and test it out....

what u mean get it to work properly ? like the settings dont stick or force closes or ?
 
A lot of different reasons really. But probably the main reason is That it is supposed to Turn data on when you openen a certain app And then turn data off when you close that app and that feature will not work at all.

I'm actually working on creating an app With Tasker For our phone that will do a lot of the things that juice defender will do and in some cases even better. If I can get it going properly I will be Creating a thread for it. I have tested the Tasker profiles on my phone And when I had these profiles running I could easily get 16 to 20+ hours With heavy usage. Even with this rom, Without using my tasker profiles, I am lucky to get 12 hours.

I use the phone a lot!! Lol.

I've been there many times. Never found what caused it.

But i did try your trick and changed it from 45 to 0 and it cleaned up the stray marks showing awake i had.

Now it only shows awake when the screen is on like it's supposed to.
 
T3 is the shiznit!!! Man I tell you, I wish we can all keep having the same phone as time passes by, this is the best community I've ever seen online. Drifta, thanks for all the hard work an no need to apologize about the hicups an issues we've had with this rom because it wasn't in vain. Nothing good comes easy without a fight. Thanks!

no expert by any means but it looks like that disabled the timeout.. Maybe setting it to 1 instead of 0.. Just throwing it out there..

Its confusing me though cause its still at 100 percent battery but didn't sleep with screen off.. Damn zombies are invading our phones :)

Better battery stats confirms deep sleep ;)

It's a matter of "seconds". Not 1 for yes 0 for no. So therefore 0 would indicate 0 seconds.

That's part of what confused me.. But not as in 1 for yes 0 in no.. Can't recall off the top of my head I've seen it (been years since programming really) but have seen odd things like that where 0 would actually disable something and having an integer besides that would actually set the value.... Like I said was just throwing that out there as I'm still learning.. The no sleep and screen off and 100 percent tricked me I guess lol

Theres actually a few lines in the build prop that uses 1 and 0 as disable and enable I believe

We are all learning. lol. I'll never stop learning.

But as far as I can tell 0 does work like its supposed to.
