Root [ROM][PORT] Sharp ROM 2.2.2 for the Triumph (Updated: 12/16/12)

Rev 2.2 huh? Man you might as well just go ahead and make a full blown, off the wall, crazy cool, silky smooth custom rom. :adore:

I found the problem with bluetooth, it is in the kernel. I replaced the stock kernel with your hybrid, in the deodexed version, and the bluetooth worked but it broke wifi. I'll see what I can do tomorrow, when I get up.

Edit: I found this, scaling_min_freq 245760, in the init.rc in the original kernel, sounds like that may be why it won't clock lower than 245mhz, just a thought.

[FONT=&quot]GPS is the best I've ever had on this phone. Accuracy 3ft in less then a minute. The smile capture on camera works GREAT, but before you test on yourself shut the flash off. [/FONT]True wireless hotspot and HDMI out.... yeah.

For anybody interested, I figured out that HDMI is kernel related. I tried the kernel from Andro-ID rc2, in this rom, and everything worked for the most part except HDMI. So for all the GB and ICS devs, you might wanna look in to the kernel. I am definitely not a kernel guy, I have no problem modifying the ramdisk and stuff but the actual kernel is still out of reach for me right now. Hope this helps.
 
Just wanted to put out an observation. On the very first original version of this rom, Temple Run plays very smooth without any lag. On the modified version , with the oc kernel, the same game stutters and stops similar to the other roms i have tried.

I am running the deodexed Trim version, since I don't use bluetooth anyway, and I just tested it, though on a very low level, and it ran very smooth. I never played this game before cause it wouldn't work on my CM7 build, or others as I've seen in some posts. When you said "very first" did you try any of the other original kernel versions?

No. i have only tried the original rom and then the one with the oc kernel.

Would b_kernel be compatible with this?

Edit: just read MT kernels break wifi. B_kernel would be good with this too.

All of the Triumph kernels I tested, all boot fine, they just break alot of stuff. Not sure about Mobstergunz version, he had to modify his hybrid kernel to get some stuff working, and a few system files. But on the original, triumph kernels break wifi at the least, I didn't test further cause I use wifi all the time and I wanted this to be as solid as possible when I released it. I found the Bluetooth issue after I got into testing everything more.

With my build bkernel will work but it'll break wifi tethering.....

I fixed the kernel and its running a lot smoother too i'll upload it in a few minutes
 
Thanks BSydz, this rom is pretty legit. Its smooth and fast and with Mobstergunz tweaks and adjustments it made this into one of the best if not the best rom. Only bug I saw was that I couldnt recieve or send any pics. Idk if thats helpful or not.

That's Probably because VM handles MMS differently that may require a framework edit......
 
Ah I see, but besides that I love it. Thanks man for the support. I know people complain alot on here but man you guys take time out of your schedules and do this. I really appreciate it, thanks for all your hard work.

Yeah I just got 4 messages from 9999999999 and all garbled, I knew what it was from when I had that issue with the Intercept. I'm looking into it now, I just started looking into the settings.apk, I'll look at the framework in a while. But, for now try handcent and let me know if that works. I remeber a line of code somewhere that has, I'm going off the top of my head here, something like "phone number@vmob.?????". But I can't remember where it was, maybe an apn file.

So, then I take it that you were running Rev 2.1? Just to confirm, so I can add it to the op.
 
Naw i was running the original trimmed version of the rom. I tried flashing the rev. 2.1 version of it and i having issues. It gets stuck on the main boot screen. I tried flashing the cache and delvin cache but no success.
 
I'm using Antutu CPU Master to over/underclock and cpu spy to keep track of frequencies.

Edit: Just uninstalled Antutu and used No-Frills CPU Control and it stuck. So Antutu CPU Control does NOT work (for this ROM anyway).
