Good to know. Maybe there are some missing USB compositions.
 
PTP and MTP don't work - nothing shows up in device manager. Only mass storage works, which is really the only one that matters (besides adb of course).
 
That worked. I now have mass storage on and now when I plug in my phone, it actually shows up with the USB icon in the upper right corner. This sounds like this may be a simple build.prop tweak that is needed.
 
Just wanted to thank everyone who has been working so hard on this! I'm *this* close to firing up AOKP b2 just waiting for the last few little bugs to be worked out and then it's go time!! Great job, all!!

Known - bug #2. Thank you tho for posting it - I am sure the dev's like the feedback to help them.

Bluetooth audio is 100%, and for some reason connects and disconnects are faster than stock ICS connects. Call audio and streaming audio for music, both spot on. GPS is 100% as well, works great, lock on is super quick and tracking is very good as well. So it looks like there are just 3 issues, neither are preventative as a daily driver.

1. 1x and 3G data shows up as roaming on the bars and roaming indicator on is the network. 4G appears to show as 4G. Everything works as intended, but the labeling is not right.

2. Graphics/Display is terrible for 3D renderings and just graphics items in general. There a better driver to use for it possibly or is something else the problem. Our antutu scores fail miserably here and you can witness the bad FPS through HD video playing or some games.

So there we are, this is almost a 100% fully functional JB ROM. All the devs that have busted to make this phone awesome, are awesome themselves. Of course an extra thanks to TDM here in bringing us JB!

So went the whole day after flashing, customized the crap outta the phone, and pushed it pretty hard. Not a single FC or reboot. Gotta say I'm impressed, cause I'm also overclocking the thing a bit. *knock on wood*

I tried the band-aid fix for the poor mic quality and it seems to have made a decent improvement. People said I was coming through much clearer when talking outside. Replaced /system/lib/libaudcal.so with the stock ICS file.
 
Someone give me a link to a HD video that plays well on stock ics but not on jb. I'll try to take a look soon.

And not to be pushy but just wanted to say if you could please give the low speaker phone issue some thought. I really really really need my speaker phone. I know your have a full plate and I'm not asking for you to put anything aside, I'm just throwing out a reminder of sorts :-P if you have any ideas you'd like to share I'm all about trying it myself. I can tweak the build prop or add files if need be. Thanks tdm.

And neph if you have any ideas as well.

Ps. Just wanted to let everyone know that the 4.2 gapps works on cm10. The only issue is of course the 4.2 camera that came with it doesn't work and Google search force closes so you have to delete it and then install it from the play store.

2nd PS. Cm10 is way smoother than aokp41. I mean way way way smoother. I miss all the features and settings of aokp but if I have to lose a few features for fluidity and buttery smoothness than so be it.
 
Ok, I'm at a loss. I can play 720p H264 AAC MP4 files with no issues using MX player. Is there a file format that people are having issues with in particular? I'm also stuck on the netflix issue. Replacing the stagefright files just ends up in an LGdrmlibgetflexinfo permission error that I can't resolve.

1080p mp4 doesn't play well here. Very laggy. Sound is perfect though.
 
I tried to use a mkv file(bluray format) and it lags. It plays on sw but it lags, when I try to play it on hw or hw+ I get a message saying I cannot play the video and goes back to sw. I'm using MX player. It plays fine on cm9, like I can choose the option to play it on hw or hw+.

.mkv is not a bluray format. It's just a wrapper for audio/video codecs, much like .avi is. Do you happen to know what actual codec the file is encoded in?
 
Ok, I'm getting stuttering on a 1080p .mkv file, but it's still viewable. Quick question. Are those of you having really bad issue also using the MX Player Codec (ARM v7) available from Googleplay? I have it installed and it seems to be making the difference because when I uninstall it, video gets much worse.

no i dont, all i know is that is .mkv file.

here is a screenshot when i try to play it in hw+ or hw.

Go into MX player, go to the video you are trying to play. Long press it until a menu pops up -> properties -> more -> and provide the stream #1 and #2 info, or screen shot it please.
