Root [ROM] Quattrimus JB (CM10, AOKP41)

so CM10 is working awesome, thank you guys, you really did a sweet job! So heres my question. when i installed cm10, square reader finally started working on my phone with the card reader they supply. After i used the fix, to fix the sound problem, it stopped reading cards. Is there anyway to edit the new file to allow for the square reader to work?

I figured how to get mass storage to work!!!

to enable mass storage mode!
enter in terminal emulator the following!

su
setprop persist.sys.usb.config mass_storage
reboot

press enter after each line!
after reboot when you plug in your phone usb mass storage should work!

For me all I had to do is set Mass storage in settings > storage > advanced menu > usb connection. Initially nothing is set.

Couldn't resist taking the plunge any longer! Running CM10 b2... so far so good! GPS was lightening quick, MMS working fine, data working great. Thank you so much!

Only two things I have noticed as others have mentioned: call audio is fine for me, but not for the other person. I also have the "roaming indicator on" on the lockscreen but not in the status bar.

Great job! Just waiting for the audio fix and I will be all set! Haven't tested bluetooth yet but i don't use it very often anyway.

edit: pretty sure this was reported too, but just throwing it out there, camera works fine but not camcorder. It comes up fine, but won't start recording. Just FYI...

No clue, never had or used a square reader.

Confirmed - Dirty flashed B2A over B2 (cleared cache) and everything is solid. Did reinstall GApps during same CWM session just for kicks. Wife confirmed call quality improved w/ B2A

People wondering about gps I flashed to cm10 last night and it works now. I never had gps on aokp41 but I note have it on cm10. For what it's worth I flashed the v7 debloated Rom first and tested gps and then I flashed cm10. Gps locks in about 5 seconds

Did you do a wipe or a dirty flash? If you did a dirty flash maybe I can repro it.

Here's my thinking on GPS; I'm thinking with the GPS, that on stock there's something that 'echos' something to a partition or some sort and 'sticks'. Because in linux on a gobi2000 3G modem by qcom had to echo something like GPS_START i.e. on the gobi2000 3G modem:
Code:
echo "\$GPS_START" > /dev/ttyUSB2; sleep 3;

I'm on aokp41b2a here - its good.

I ran aokp41 for several days and switched over to cm10 last night and though i miss all the features of aokp41, cm10 is far far far better in turns of fluidity and smoothness. I won't be touching aokp41 again until someone smooths it out, which may never happen. I know this is off topic but I just wanted to let everyone on aokp41 know that cm10 pwns it :p

Is it possible that only phones that have run the ics ota have gps working?

Mine does not work and I've never installed any official ics or any roms derived from it.

I'd like to know if anyone else in this situation has gps working. Or if anyone who took the official version does not have gps working. Also of interest is those who didn't take an updated boot loader but just flashed the vendor-derived roms.

In other words, let's do a survey of phone history and try to correlate to gps functionality.

I flashed the official ics with the lg tool. I am now on cm10 beta 2. my phone picks up gps within seconds even when inside this old brick house.

I actually took the ota with the lg update tool. I didn't have gps when I first installed aokp41. My order of roms since taking the v7 update has been / eclipse A3 / CM9 / AOKP40 / AOKP41 (no gps) / SOTARD V7 (tested gps) / CM10 (gps works)

As discussed before it seems that going back to a v7 rom with working gps, and then running it (gps), and then flashing back (with full wipe of course) to CM or aokp gets gps to work.

Did you get your phone working ok? I saw you had issues earlier today.
