Root [ROM] Quattrimus JB (CM10, AOKP41)

This is AWESOME!!! Thank you all so much. The only little issue I'm having is : whenever I make a phone call, people can't really hear me. Is anyone else having this problem?

I had a phone call this morning and I always use speaker phone, and I mean always, I absolutely never use the normal phone, anyway, I noticed I couldn't hear the person hardly at all with speaker phone but I could hear them fine with speaker phone off. They didn't complain about not being able to hear me though.

Also just for those curious the 4.2 camera doesnt work on aokp41.

Strange. Running AOKP41 here and GPS lock is quick. I haven't actually tested navigation yet, but GPS Test locks in under 10 seconds to 8-12 satellites...

[GPS Test] <--Play link

Yep I use gpstest. Didn't show any satellites in the sky, so I figured that was a pretty solid sign gps wasn't working ;)

Amazing job getting us CM10 and AOKP41..Thank you!...I have GPS working great and locking quickly. just a check, anyone figure out how to stop those VZW texts coming every half hour or so?

GPS isn't working on aokp41 here either. This is strange how it's working for most people but not for a few of us. I wonder why that would be

No idea, man. I'm assuming you did a clean install. The only thing I did differently than most installs was formatting data/system/cache through mounts and storage rather than the "Wide data/factory reset", but I cannot see how that would really affect anything.

(I also noticed none of my nandroids were available through titanium...which is very odd, so I couldn't restore any apps...had to manually install everything from the play store...)

Sorry...wish I could help ya out more.

For clarity in case anyone is documenting:
I downloaded the ROM and GAPPS (Was running tdm's AOKP40 at the time)
IN CWM "mounts and storage":
format data
format system
format cache
went back to "advanced"
wipe dalvik
wipe battery stats
installed ROM
Installed GAPPS
Booted.

Set up my language, Google account, and downloaded titanium (and key). Tried to restore nandroid, but none of them showed up (I am assuming it's either a multi-user issue or an issue with how our CWM is functioning). Went back into Play store and downloaded all of my apps manually. Went into setup and set up sync settings for google apps (most were unchecked). Opened Play Music and Google+ to run their initial setup routines. Sent my son an MMS...which he received. Rejoiced. Opened GPS test and saw tons of satellites...after a few seconds it locked with 8 of them. Rejoiced again.

Not sure if this will help any narrow down what is going on here as far as some people not getting GPS, but there it is anyway...

I did better than a clean install... I came from a cab flash. All the more perplexing.

@ carmen- remember when we were on gb and some had reboot issues where others didn't? I bet this is a batch specific issue like that again.

Well, never mind on the WiFi hotspot, it's not working correctly.

Also, I've read through the thread and didn't see a response on hot to connect to the phone as a USB drive. I'm having the same issue.

No reports of data dropping for anyone yet? Mine hasn't but I haven't tried rebooting yet. Also, I've noticed that standby battery life on cm10 is way better than cm9.

EDIT: GPS and MMS work for me too.

portable wifi is working great for me. I've been using it since last night and I'm using it right now. Have probably 5 hours of use on it and haven't had one issue.

Are you using the portable wifi hotspot built in to cm and aokp or are you trying ot use a third party app?

PhoenixPath did you set the right file location in Titanium Backup? It's probably looking in the wrong place for your files.

I've rebooted multiple times, turned data off and rebooted, left it on and rebooted, tried everything that would've lost it for me on CM9 and it's still going strong!

I also restored all my apps with Titanium, I guess some thought that was causing it to drop, although it didn't for me.

The CM portable hotspot, it starts and appears on my Win7 laptop list. But, I get a limited connectivity message when I attempt a connection.

I was going to try to DL the third part fix when I realized I couldn't connect to the phone as a USB drive.

Anyone with a working GPS, could you please get me a logcat from boot until GPS lock?

Thx!

So I don't know if anyone realized this, but the video recording doesn't work at all on aokp41. I'm going to try the cm10 build to see if it's the same

Looks like we inherited the camera+power bug from the p930. :( This is CM issue 6550. I hope we don't also inherit the so-called BSOD issue, where the screen will occasionally refuse to come back on after being in deep sleep.

Now that we're fairly well aligned with the p930 builds, keep your eye on the CM p930 issues for things to watch out for.

I've got GPS working! Now the only issue left for me is in call sound/mic Qaulity. Keep up the awesome work and thanks to all involved!

No data issues for me I was AOKP. I'm thinking about flashing cm10 to see if I can get gps and see if it's faster than now. I'll miss the unicorns... Lol

I doubt it will make a difference. I am not getting GPS on either and others have reported success on both.
