Root (ROM) Release Motion Collab Version 3.0

V6 does more than improve multitasking, it will give better batt performance, it will allow you to vac your database, it will allow a lot of tweaks that are unreachable with out. It will purge dalvic which in terms of Android is like swap file in windows. Also it will keep gui from needing to redraw/refresh animations will be smoother and more fluid. v6 has a lot of untapped potential

No I don't have the phone personally. just sharing something I found on xda and have used on my admire way before it had a kernel with init.d support but the app wasn't around then so now it easier

I have one I'm writing/working with now but might have to add chroot/chown in the lines idk I'm doing a lot all at the same time can't just sit and play on the phone all day lol

Lg is not like other phones the directories are not the same as Samsung or htc and others they hide stuff and make it difficult for the phones to be devved on

Killer that's my problem im sitting here coding for work.. last thing I wanna do when I get home and relax is start coding again rofl. anyways ill repost the roms in about 2 hours when im finally out of my little cubicle

Yea you rite. But once u do something major for a phone some people think you should revolve your life around making their phone better. Its the same in any profession though.

Man you need to get on the other forums with me and see what all the fuss is about. The big guys aren't getting paid so... P plus they don't own this phone, they will not devote time to it. I've been thinking we could do a real Collab just like I used to do for some of my favorite nix distros like elive (enlightenment), saybayon, etc. everyone has the things they are good at and the things they like to do.I'd live to see real devving for this sucker with aosp/aokp, muiu, custom kernels what not

O don't get me wrong im happy todo it. I got a call last night from my work telling me basically "we are cashing in on your salary" and im working 80 hours a week for the next 2 weeks. so for the next 2 weeks its gonna be hard for me to do a lot. hoping someone will pick up for me while im stuck at work LOL

So I hardbricked my phone right before I was about to call it a night last night......and the culprit, changing my font in The Rom Toolbox, harmless right.

I knew I was in trouble about a week ago when our DBA quit and I was the only other person at the company who knew enough MySQL to deal with the issues until they replaced him. "which still has not happened yet" so I get 2 jobs todo YAY lol

ROM TOOL BOX is a nono apk tools or multi tool extract APK decompile APK edit XML files with dreamweaver or notepad++ recompile apk sign zip align = SAFER then a prog that's not fully supported on our phone. but even using apk tools I have noticed that it does not like to decompile all ICS apk's for some reason. but lucky the motion is on sale atm for 45$ :) LOL sucks to hear u bricked though..

I have heard mixed things about it.. some say works fine others say it doesn't work, then others say it bricks the device.. id prefer not taking a chance and just editing the xml files ;P

ok now that everyone has V6 installed there is a few maintenance tasks that can be done once a week to eliminate lag.

To maintain the rom:

Once a week or so please open Terminal Emulator.

Type
Code: [Select]
su
and press enter.
Grant Terminal Emulator SuperUser permissions.
Then type
Code: [Select]
vac

and press enter.
Disregard any errors you may see as they will not affect vacuuming.

Also, please grant terminal emulator SuperUser permissions as above and type
Code: [Select]
sclean

This will wipe dalvik and rebuild it upon reboot without affecting the Dalvik to sd flag.

sclean works the vac command is not found ;P

although I believe if you have the script start on boot it does those things on boot IIRC. anyways phone's benchmarks are not bad with all the crap I loaded mine up with
