if possible id like the oem camera- thanks 4 your awesome but very obvious advice.
I too have the same issue. No camera using camera mx atm*
Keyboard bug gone.no lock lag isssues since setting to your recommendation. Battery loses 1% every 13 min . Holo launcher is the only front app. All else is OS
Glad to hear about the lack of lag. Those settings were the result of my own experimentation, and recommended by others - seems to work just fine. 1% every 13 minutes isn't bad, but that's just under 24 hours of battery life. How was that result achieved, what were your settings? I always have brightness at the dimmest level, JuiceDefender on, and CPU tuned to 2xx/16xx smartassV2. Did you have 3G on? Or wifi? GPS? What about sync? And was the display always on, or was the display off/locked?
I'll replace the modified camera by Hashtag with the stock Aeneas one, and see if that works. I'll still stick to my recommendation of Camera360, though. Worth looking at, at the least. Hopefully we'll get that figured out soon!
Has anyone installed this on a Sprint Elite yet? If I wanted to try what would I need to do? I'm guessing I'd want to replace giantpune's VM kernel with the Sprint one. How should I do that? Any help would be appreciated.
I would like to know this as well. Also, as soon as I get a response back from Leslie I'll build a Sprint-specific one and release the two builds side by side.
Also Sleipnir wasn't keeping the 2048 sd Card read ahead cache and was setting it back to 128 just like was happening with Tagged. Maybe it's just my phone.
It looks like even the init.d script didn't work either - so if you've got any ideas, I've attached the script to this post. Feel free to take a look and get back to me on it, because I do agree that one should not have to set it post-install. My first guess is that a simple copy and paste didn't work and it needs to be modified in some way to work with our phones, because right now it's straight out of XDA. It was worth a shot, though, to see if it'd work while still vanilla. I'm still a noob with Android/*nix code, so even something like this is over my head a little.
The line in the installer script is as follows
Code:
set_perm(0, 0, 0777, "/system/etc/init.d/98SDfix");
Flashed and booted with no problems.
Button remap still isnt working nor is the screenshot.
Not that I use either of them anyways. Just letting ya know.
Thanks again, Artine!
Glad there were no problems booting. And, unfortunately, looks like no dice on all three attempted fixes. I just tested it myself, and still nada on screenshot (I don't use it either XD But it's there for people who do
![Smile :) :)](/styles/smilies/google/smilie.png)
), and I think the remap is either permissions-related or a result of deleting the line in the keylayout file. More experimenting is required, it seems - and I'm not giving up. Thanks again for the donation, too!
Thanks to everyone who was willing to test 2.0.9, all of the feedback was helpful and it looks like it's time to return to the drawing board once again.
