Root [ROM] Stock, Rooted, & Deodexed.

recovery isn't included with a rom... not even sure how i would get it to install LOL... but hold off because i have a test im uploading right now if you like to test it? :D
 
I downloaded it from my phone, it took forever but I got it on my sd. I'll flash it in the morning and report back. Good night all...
 
LOL here's a 3rd test... thanks to PG for providing his full version of de-odex stock system apps & files, updated his installer-script and replaced kernel with stock/root ZVA.. any testers...?

I flashed this and its in a boot loop at the lg logo.
 
ok sorry pg lol these should be the last 'tests' ill throw on your thread before i decide what type of thread to make..

depending on the results to this last test(s) i will either make a stock/root etc thread of my own, or will just make a connect version of ld-lg (debloated & slightly modified stock rom, veeeeeery stock)

so here they are:

stock_Beta_1 - my version (root rom system files) with my stock kernel(still no feed back on it that works or not...) added data/app & pg app & framework folder and some minor changes

stock_Beta_2 - same as 1 with Maps removed

stock_Beta_3 - pg's version with maps removed lol (i know maps caused issues back when i did have a connect to play with [x girl's] :p) and again my stock kernel.. probly shoulda jus put his in it.. but i was lazy... LOL

so depending if B3 boots or not with or without my kernel.. then i or pg can make/keep(use) the thread for stock rooted etc...

but if it's b1 or 2 that works than ill just make an ld-lg thread and let the big shots (PG) handle the stock system LOL

IF NONE OF THEM BOOT, TRY FLASHING A WORKING KERNEL OVER THEM.. PLEASE TEST ALL 3!!!
 
I dwnloaded all 3 beta's and went into CWM then realized I didnt dwnload either kernel :mad: so I just flashed beta3 but it got stuck on the LG logo and bootlooped. Im dwnloading both kernels now and will do better testing on all 3 beta's.

both kernels? lol you only need to dl 1, any working kernel youi know of... as of now im using the stock boot.img i compiled, but since it actually booted that means it should work.. to you might be ok to just test 1 & 2 :D

if neither work than it's due to something in the app folder, im guessing it would be 1 of those apk's i couldn't get to de-odex.. well get to the bottom of this :D thankd for the info & testing bro!!! you will def be mentioned in MY OP's!!! have done a lot of testing for me i truley appreciate it :D

lol! I said both kernels meaning Stock & Speed, and the only reason I will be dwnloading both is because of my OCD (j/k) and I feel it wouldnt hurt to have them on my pc just incase :) as far as testing, I luv it because not only will the end result benifit me but I learn alot from it and Ive been wanting to learn what you guys do since first getting my android just over a year ago so thank you for the name mention, thats awesome.

I cant seem to get any of the 3 beta's to boot past the LG logo, maybe its me and im not doing this right? I flashed beta 1 and then right after I flashed the speed kernel then rebooted. Ive done this with all 3 and I even tried without flashing the kernel but I still get the same result, am I missing somwthing? I have made a dumb and simple mistake before and hope im making one now lol!!

nope.. yo0ur not miising anything.. i thin k i know why this is happenning.. well i dont have an explanation, but i know the cause of no boot LOL

now my reply on this is solely based on my own personal experience, which in-turn could very well be proven wrong, but untill it is than it is what i will believe :D

when i "personally" try to de-odex the stock ZVA system, i get errors on like 6 apk's in system/app folder, maps being one of them..

now in those last 3 tests, the main focus i had was maps.. but i should have focused more on the list of un de-odex-able apps.. (again im not 100% sure this is the reason) i think they cause an issue with the system booting when de-odex'd..

the first test(s) i provided DID NOT include any of the non de-odex'able apps in it and they seemed to boot just fine.. there still could be an issue with the stock framework folder, but we'll get to that later.. as of now i will push out 1 more test using the app folder from the original boot-able version i provided and see if that fixes anything :D

if not, than obviously the issue lays deeper in the system than i thought... or maybe not LOL
 
Where can I find the link to these kernels y'all keep talking about?? Can I flash one over the Black Plague ROM that I am running?

Also can someone make a .zip file for the stock LG answer phone sliders? I would like to have those back if it's possible. You know when the phone rings and you have to slide left or right, I would like the stock LG version back. That is if someone can make me a zip file??
