you need an ext3 partition for a2sd to work.
and yes, a system wipe is also needed
 
Just so I'm sure, is it wrong that I can't log in to any of my accounts? Going to accounts and sync causes the phone to reboot, and every time it does, I get a FC on Google partner set up
 
oh, haha, whoops! :-D Everything seems to be working fine, though, so I guess I'll leave it alone. But if I start seeing issues, I'll know I am to blame and I'll do a system wipe. V2 seems even better than v1 was. I don't know if I can handle v3 ;)

Yep. I tried a couple different times actually. I'll reflash and try again... Maybe I just botched the flash somewhere...
Edit: I must have screwed up somewhere, because now it seems to be working... hmmm problem solved apparently.

how would you like to see a suave overlay for kaos-froyo? a flashable update to kaos-froyo that transforms it to suave. if that makes no sense then just give me a little while and when the update comes you will see what i mean

You mean sort of like kaos-froyo with the Suave look to it? That would be interesting.
 
I'm still having problems with the proximity sensor. I believe I have fastbooted over the conap kernel, my kernel version is
2.6.29

but when i put the phone up to my face, the screen doesn't disappear, and the bigger problem, once it does disappear, it never comes back unless i push the end button, and that ends the call.

Also, is there anyway to put the stock camera back on? it just seems a little faster?
 
Running this now, I had some issues after first rooting but after the wipe they cleared up. Rom is running smoothly. I JUST DONATED! as you all should if you like it! Thanks Andrizoid !! Not sure why my charging light comes on and blinks and stays on when not plugged in.

So you are going to release a "update" to kaos froyo? Or a theme? If its a update, well isn't kaosfroyo someone elses work? Have you asked them about "updating" their ROM? Didn't you already get into trouble about using other peoples stuff? Just sayin'

I'm not sure if he's ever had permission. Ever wonder why his threads get locked all the time? Even though android is open source, Its just completely classless to take other ppl's work, and then ask for donations. But hey whatever, some ppl have no class or ethics. To each his own.

because its pointless to create a whole new rom when its just a theme. im making a metamorph theme lol.

since when its it required to have the permission of a roms dev to create a metamorph theme for it.

Who cares about permission on it, its a theme your right. I am just pointing out at his update rate, it could break your theme over and over.
 
just tried doing the stock mms fix. When i enter the commands, it tells me "cannot remove 'data/data/com.android.providers.telephony/databases/telephony.db': No such file or directory

Any suggestions?

i agree with that. that was to the people saying it would be stealing his work.

i thought about releasing my own version, but there are 3 froyo roms all with basically the exact same features and issues, i think itd be a waste of time to make a fourth.think a metamorph would be easier to make and to keep up on. his various updates may/may not break the theme-most will probably just require re-applying the theme-and even if something is broken it shouldnt be too difficult to incorporate it into the theme. i figure a metamorph theme would make it more accessible also-could be applied to any of the froyo roms

You typed the command(s) wrong. One letter off, a missing "/", two spaces when there should be one, etc, will cause it to fail.
