Whats New

System Changes
  • new framework with all new icons along the notification bar
  • new menu, with silver background and black text and icons
  • edits to the build prop, should increase performance somewhat (I have noticed a slight speed bump on my phones)
  • New menu, with Silver background and Black txt and icons
  • now comes with persistent install of some basic apps removed from system app (Live Wallpapers, TranQ Wallpapers, TranQ Toolbox, QuickOffice) so they reinstall after any data wipe.
  • Now with very tranquil wallpapers (TranQ Wallpapers)
  • Added appwidget picker (by boombuler @ XDA)
  • Added permanently - work contacts (no removal option)
  • Added Gmail hack - enables always showing images in emails (by Anderdroid @ XDA)

Toolbox Changes
  • redesigned toolbox, lots of code changes
  • redesigned theme selection (now scroll and preview)
  • added new boot animations (original droid and r2d2)
  • added boot animation sounds (flash custom, preinstalled, or off)
  • added boot system startup sounds (flash custom, preinstalled, or off)
  • added new option to remove clock from notification bar (will need a reboot - does not work with gregtard themes)
  • new blur button - add buacontacts back (no removal option)
  • fixed - blur messaging so that it adds universal inbox.

OKAY I NEED TO REALLY THANK:

Jolly and Aix - without their help, testing, brainstorming, and trouble shooting we would not be at this point.
DustinJorge - my java teacher and the man who created the launcher improvements and coded many portions of the toolbox. Without this guy you would have had an ugly ass toolbox.

Themes are used with permission of their creators. (Themes may have been modified to work in the Toolbox framework)

RedX - Theme Link
NexTheme - No Link Available
Linear - Theme Link
DarkBlue - Theme Link
GreenAndroid - Theme Link
Darkslide - Theme Link

Thanks guys.

I'm happy to say that this version of TranQ is on my recommended list of easy to manage rom installs for newbies.

I'm running it now. My first impressions are that it is exceptionally stabile and highly configurable. I like the way you can add or delete much of the blur apps. I am a fan of the blur phone with smart-dial. This rom uses it.

P3 gives the user a choice of screen transitions which liven up the experience. This rom does not come with spare parts like Liberty does, but it's an easy download. I downloaded it and set my animations to fast, which is my preference. They are pre-set to normal.

Oddly enough, this rom does not offer the black settings menu, borrowed from the Gingerbread Theme that has become so popular in 2.2.1 Roms nowadays. I looked for it in the themes, but couldn't find it there either. For me, it's not a dealbreaker as the most important part of a rom, for me, is configurability and stability. This rom scores very high in both.

I am running the DarkBlue theme and it's still quite stabile. I am going to encourage everyone to try this, both newbies and oldbies and tell us what you think. One this is for sure. You will have an enjoyable, configurable and stabile experience with P3's newest and most consummate build. Kudos to P3!

This is the 1st TranQ version that I was able to install and run successfully LOL,, so far I am loving it, love the Blur elements included , specially the dialer , themes are nice, the feel, very stable, very customizable. Now I dont know which one I like better, Liberty or TranQ,, we'll see :D

The Zen aspect of this ROM appeals to me. I thought I was going to sbf my DX tomorrow and then install Liberty.

Guess Liberty will have to wait a day or so. Does this ROM have Moto's Blur or is it Blur-less?

Think something went bad with my install....phone boots into the rom but keeps restarting as soon as I try to install anything....gotta SBF and re-try I guess.

You can add or subtract a much blur as you want.

Is this as fast as Liberty? I'm loving the speed and my white theme on Liberty but if this is as fast ill give it a try for the blur dialer

Did you guys download this by TBH app? I don't see a download link in the post.

I'm at work and Liberty doesn't see my AdHoc wifi connection.

Right back to Liberty for me as well ,,,,p3 puts out some great stuff but i have never felt at home with tranq for some reason

Download link?

What is the tbh app?
its an app that is in the market that team black hat(tbh) releases all sorts of goodies in ,,,,it is really worth having and is only $2.....usually when they release some roms they will make it available through the app first for their supporting members and shortly after release it to everyone else

To clarify, I went back to Liberty because I was too lazy to set up TranQ last night. It wasn't a dig against the rom, but a statement about my laziness!

I backed up TranQ last night and will give it the attention it deserves later. :)
