Root [ROM v3] 2.3.7 GingerXperia Revolution ROM for X8

I have a question regarding the layout and menus.

How do you get the same layout in v5 in the v6 version with bugs fixed.

Is there a way to have same menus and layouts as in v5 ????

Hi,

Short answer is no. The menus and layout framework is applied by the custom rom developer. There is no options to enable a different menu and layout. Sorry.

cheers :)

Hi,

Apologies, if you like v5 then I suggest you stick to v5.
I know v7 will be coming in Oct 2011. So hopefully they will upgrade.

Seem to be having problems with android market and applications crashing on this any ideas what could be causing it

Hi,

That is common among custom roms.
It is a good idea to delete all your old data from your android_secure folder.
And if all else fails you can re-install Android Market cause they are using an older version.

Hi,

I followed the instructions and installed this.

After i installed i just get a booting loop after the gingerxperia screen.

I have flashed the baseband to 15 and have also done a factory reset > wipe before installation.

Any one have any ideas?

Thanks

Kev

Hi,

go back to Android Eclair 2.1.1
check to see if you have successfully flashed the 015 baseband.
The boot loop is indicative that you have baseband 006

Hi,

If you have flashed the correct 015 baseband it should work.

Have a look here <-- Link to X8a = E15a baseband or X8i = E15i baseband

Hope this helps you...

Gabe,

What i did was reflashed the baseband.

factory reset.

Then installed the gingerDX which booted but i couldnt make inbound/outbound calls.

The dialer just crashed with com.android.phone blah blah.

So i tried Gingerxperia again but it was very unstable.

Boots ok but then the phone reboots say 10seconds in.

Cheers
