Root [ROM-WIP-5/25/12]LeWa

No. apn's aren't saving.
I renamed them so you could tell the difference. The a-p_framework is from the almost-purity ROM I've been using as the host ROM.
Here they are: lewa_framework.jar
a-p_framework.jar
I do need to figure out how to get a .jar file to compile properly. It's kinda driving me nuts. Maybe when I get it figured out I'll write a newbie guide.

Alright I'm going to fix apns too.

EDIT: Here you go

Guys, just replace the file I posted right above with the current ROMs framework.jar (Make sure to rename it to that). Everything should be fixed then.

Hmmm. Didn't make it past the splash screen again. I need to double check what I did. Make sure I renamed the .jar file properly. I'll try and work things out before I fall asleep. Will post download link in thread in the morning where I have been if I figure it out. If not I'll post up here.

I almost forgot: Thanks for the help gannon5197

CuriousNoob. I used the almost-purity ROM as the host ROM. I added the LeWa_OS_M4_Patch that is in Lovetz thread, and I flashed the latest MiRaGe Kernel in the recovery as well as your gapps. If this will help.
Maybe between the two of use we can figure this out (with a little help from gannon5197 of course).

Douh! Didn't rename it properly.
Renamed .jar file to "framework" instead of "framework.jar". I feel kind of stupid now.
Booted up and had 3G first rattle out of the box(thanks gannon5197) and I'm waiting for it to upload to Mediafire for mms testing. I used the MiRaGe kernel version 05312012 first. Will set everything and see how it feels with the older kernel version. Then flash the newer kernel version and see how it feels.
Running fix_permissions right now. Finished uploading. I will drop down and post link and MD5 sum in post #107

Everything is working great now thanks to gannon5197!

CuriousNoob: Download and confirm MD5 sum. Look in post #107 and see how I gave credit. You also might want to give the instructions I wrote out as those are the only way this ROM is going to work properly and not be force closing. It's your baby, will delete info in post #107 tomorrow.

Glad I could be of some help in getting this cool ROM up and functioning.

Yes!!! Everything seems to work once you let the rom settle in the phone! Thanks Andy, gannon and curiousnoob! I've notch that the power button wont let me cut off the screen  could it just be me, anyhow that something I can live without because I try not use the power button often :D
Once again great job guys and especially andy for not giving up on this project! Thanks

They put the screen lock in the pull down. I guess it is how they like to do things over there. I have mine set to time out after 30 sec anyway. I really like the way it's set up actually. I like having just the menu button and power button for waking up the phone (you have to hold the power button for a few seconds as well, I like this), this helps keep my phone from pocket browsing and eating up my battery.

That make two of us :D

Maybe ill just quote you as your own section. I still have an extra post. :)

If i find anything, im sure its fixable, not hard :p

I see BadBoyToast likes the MIJI weather app still. :p

Btw Andy. I tested it out. Had alot of lag for me. I also suggest basing it off Mirage because its a bareboned rom(59MB)

The only lag is in some of the GPU intensive applications like the Theme and LeWa Player and . I tried every single ROM in the IHO with the exception of the BobZohme ROM as it was too much like the magpie which LeWa didn't work on.

Harmonia and almost-purity where the only ones that allowed everything to actually work (after running fix_permission). The almost-purity with the MiRaGe Kernel (I tried every IHO kernel with each ROM as well) out performed the Harmonia. I've spent a huge amount of my time trying to make sure that the best Host ROM and kernel was used to minimize FC's and get the best performance at 480MHz-768MHz with the Smartassv2 or InteractiveX

Read post #107 the almost-purity/MiRaGe kernel combo is the best. All my downloaded apps are opening faster than ever before. The 3D Gallery actually worked better than designed (it's no longer a piece of junk) The scrolling is as smooth and fast as ICS. You just have to give it a little time for everything to come together. Every reboot it gets tighter and tighter. It takes a while for all the GPU intensive apps to settle in. Then the script tweaks this ROM has can really be felt.

If you follow the instructions I left in post #107 Everything will work as described. No other current ROM kernel combo will improve on it.

Do what you want, I just helped out a little, and got a pretty cool ROM out of the deal.
Tomorrow I really need to pull the links and edit the post down to "EDIT". I only got free download links until we got this testing and experimenting finished. I have 77 forums and sub-forums to manage. I have no more time, I'm behind.

I'm sure you will continue to find ways to improve on this ROM as new kernels and ROM updates avail themselves. There where some interesting ideas in Lovetz thread. You have to read through a lot of pages, but it is worth it. The first post has some good stuff in it, and needs to be checked every week if you can (The Chinese update LeWa once a week with something new and improved on their site).

I almost forgot: Don't install Beats Audio. It will bork a lot of things. It doesn't play well with this UI.

Um, where does one find a link where this rom was all put together with everything working? Or is the OP updated?
