it works better ui wise but no RIL and what I gathered talking to a few cm devs, currently no ril class in CM7 for what the Esteem uses. SO unless I or someone gets/is smart enough to write one, its SOL on CM7.

Radio Interface Layer, its what lets the hardware talk to the software.
