Root [ROM][WIP] Party Time JellyBeanSandwich

ok, so i tried 3x & no luck....looks like it loads, but after loading, when i try to restart, i get a BLACK screen-not the "off black" like it still is on...pull the battery black. 1x out of the 3, it looked like it wanted to boot up ("white samsung" logo), but then BLACK again. I still have the yellow badge of honor, and i saw in one of your posts that you got rid of it (albeit on accident). Do you think that's got anything to do with it? I waited 21-22 min. after flash on the 1st attempt, 25 on the second & 3rd. And to recover, I had to go way into advanced recovery to restore..meaning just that...my original recovery files SHOW on the sd cards (I put 1 on each int. AND ext.), but i have to go into advanced to find and run them. I'm gonna keep trying just as long as I can get my stock file back, so lemmie know what you think!

Edit: When I wipe dalvik, I get this:

That sounds way weird to me...Did you do a factory wipe and dalvik-cache wipe before install?

I'm gonna try the PT JBS progressively and see what happens with that; if not, then I'll the SRP. And if THAT don't work, I may go back and try reloading xInterlopeRx's CWM 8 again...maybe I just got a bad download somewhere...I dunno...

Edit: v1.0 no go....gave me a boot loop

Correct. Something tells me Samsung uses a generic build for all their newer phones. The layout of software is actually REALLY close to the SIII. Wouldn't surprise me if they came off the same build. I doubt this has the hardware for 4G or it would be advertised.

Try flashing the stock recovery, and then flash test 8 and try again
 
little clarification on the "stock recovery"...the 1st thing I did when i flashed test 8 back on Jan 3, was run a back-up...to both sd and ext. sd. So technically, every time I revert to my restore, I'm getting "stock" (rooted, of course but, you get it). So would I really need to use xInterlopeRs's rooted stock recovery? That's the only one I've found; because if you open SuperUser, you can 'un-root with that app...in which case, theoretically, my recovery file would be stock 'pre-root'...if I'm making any sense at all :confused:
 
No...the stock recovery is not rooted or unrooted...it is just stock recovery and not cwm...it will not effect your system whatsoever
 
Feeling a little better today, gonna try & fix this. Now, when you say flash the stock rec. (from the link previous), is this thru Odin, or CWM?

I just flashed the stock recovery using Odin. I'm trying to get back to stock every thing.
