I feel that terminal is the safe way as new a2sd scripts may not always agree with the app....but that's just an opinion, not a fact.

I did have that problem too. I realized that the gapps wasn't flashed properly. I ended up just reflashing everything fresh and that worked. You might be able to just refresh gapps.
 
Wanna break that 729 threshold...try these tips:
1. Stay away from the performance governor
2. Kill background apps frequently when not in use.
3. Turn off screen dithering through cm settings>performance
4. If you have apps with known settings that increase RAM usage turn those off.
(AdwEx launcher, Regina 3d launcher and so forth)

Okay hopefully that's all I need to do. Don't really feel like reflashing everything but going to try that now

Please share, if you can, how you and alot others getting high CPUset without reboot. I know shouldn't expect more, but I'm at 729 (still have reboots now and then). I'm using Setcpu, SDbooter, SDTools, new updated ROM w smarta$$V2 governor, thunderstagefright. Just curious if there's anything else I can do to improve. TIA :) Also all we have to do is wipes and flash thunderstagefright correct, nothing else?
 
Stagefright is only a small boost and using blade buddy from the market gives you the freedom to easily disable it if you need to.
Another crafty trick to increasing stability at high levels is to keep your devices core temperature in mind. When it gets hot, turn it down. Once you hit 104 degrees Fahrenheit your battery dies faster too. Turning up the clock speed with a hot phone seems to make mine crash.

Still the market keeps shutting down tried reflashing the gapps it seem to have flashed correctly but still the market crashing
 
No problem...ya see cyanogenmod kills battery because alot of people try to run their devices like rabid race horses and don't even realize it...lol. That can also lead to crashes at higher clock speeds.

On suggestion (think Somedude81) today, downloaded BladeBuddy. So it helps to set profiles also? Including one set for temperature to auto set cpu down when hot? ~thanks alot:)

so does anybody have a fix for my wifi problem?? it gets stuck on "obtaining IP address" and also, i went to a metro pcs meeting this morning and i geard the guy say something about google blocking apps that need root permission. meaning they are gonna stop functioning... and he said that supposedly they were gonna do that today!! is this true??????:eek: has any one heard about this??????
 
Blade buddy is pretty much only good for stagefright and remounting the system as rw. Unless you feel like buying pro. But even then you still can't create profiles.

That's a load of crap which is why I hate metro customer service...just reflash the kernel from reppards overclock thread. Make sure you wipe the dakvik cache.

I highly doubt Google cares what you do to your device but the carriers and manufacturers do. That's why they release updates attempting to block our root.

The last time Google tried to block a sect of apps it was mp3 downloaders which was an epic fail....lmao

"They can take our warranties but they'll never take our ROOT!!!"

A metropcs meeting you say? Do you work in a store?

Google blocking root apps is laughable. That kind of behavior is becoming more and more Apple specific.

Do this...enter recovery, wipe the dalvik-cache and cache. Now reflash the gapps that have the new market. To secure success before you open the market go into manage applications and uninstall the updates. It will automatically update to the latest version. You may have to sign back in but your market should run smoothly as it can afterwards

Did they also happen say there are no 3g coverage areas and they have 5 new android phones coming this year? This and talk of unicorns and leprechauns is what I hear when I enter my local corporate store. I started going to wirelesstoyz... lol
 
I've heard that rumor....awesome! 5 new phones that ONLY support 4g lte. I love my Optimus M and I doubt McDonald's and Starbucks will go bankrupt so that solves the crappy data problem.

There's one of every corner...those two stores own more street corners than all pimps combined.
 
has anyone been having battery problems since flashing rom? my battery charges slow and it wastes battery fast.... and im still having problem with people calling and it not coming through -___-

LOL I almost forgot metros biggest fairy tale, 4G. I have a flip sprint dumbphone from like 5 years ago that got evdo rev.a.. faster than any metro 4g I've used, and the video streamed smooth enough to actually watch, over the cell...
