Thanks. I put my gnm recovery in the indicated directory and RM doesn't see it. I assume it's supposed to be seen in the option for flashing alternate recoveries? Is there a naming convention that i'm supposed to follow, cause i've renamed it so it's recognizable to me when I sere it; rather than just recovery.img.

it would have to named to a recovery that is avail in RM.

not sure as I dont know how GNM does its thing.

GNM has several recoveries avail in RM, but I dont understand since his works for the MS690 why isnt it listed too.

I know why the CWM I ported isnt listed yet, but it will be eventually.
 
yeah the GNM recovery is amon ra based, i may have to buy the pro version of RM to see if i can figure it out and get it working lol
 
i been having a problem with slow mms my connection seems good but it takes a while for my phone to send pictures should i flash the mms fix?
 
Freaking Awesome ROM.. Man!!!! I love it.. I am noob in all this.. I have rooted my phone ,put custom recovery, put 3023prl in,, and Flashed your ROM.. in a matter of a day.. EXPECT TO SEE A DONATION COMING YOUR WAY IN THE NEXT COUPLE OF WEEKS..

Not sure which MMS fix you meant? The one I had was Reppard's (from Sept) GingerbreadMMS fix - and it seemed to help my MMS (was not receiving them) - now not saying it will help your issue or make them come in any faster (just sayin LoL)...
 
Ya know I haven't used the mms fix in over a month and I pretty much reflash as soon as I see a new build. All thanks to reflashing the sd-ext.img created by nand backup. I've not missed a single pic message when my signal is near 3 bars...

If u do need the mms fix, Playfulgod has created a beast of a fix that works out of the gate as long as you remember that its supposed to be flashed AFTER FIRST BOOT.

Come again - sounds good, now which MMS fix from Playfulgod's - sorry need a refresher - guess could go and look at first page -and Thanks TweeksRevenge;)

Edited to add: Is this the one you're referring to: [Metro MMS Fix: MetrOFF-v1.3-MMS-GB-Edify-CM_AOSP-No_Roaming_indicator_Off_signed.zip] I always have flashed that one -BUT I flash right after ROM b4 first boot - so trick is to flash AFTER 1st boot - thanks again - I'll try that next time and it's always good to know these tips:D
 
Yeah it's metro off 1.3 that you'll need and if that fails for reasons unknown you can always extract the mms.apk from the zip and install it with my [How To] Repair broken apps without reflashing you rom!!! (Sorry I'm on the mobile app so I can share URLs) After words just run the script inside using Script Manager from the market. Reboot and enjoy!
 
So, the other day I got my phone into fastboot mode. I followed jonidies method of getting out of fast boot. Once I was back into recovery, I reflashed this rom. I hadn't flashed any mms patches yet, but decided to try and send my wife a picture. I had full bars for cellular service so tried it. Sure enough, it worked. It took maybe 5 min for her phone to get it but it worked. Like I said, just the rom, no mms fixes were flashed.

I flashed this rom two days ago and mms works without fix
