Rom zero 1.0

An update???????? I've been so busy selling and buying on eBay to notice. But hey I got some damn great deals to overhaul my PC. =P

It's ROM testing time!
 
Shouldnt this be in the "all things root" section?
This is the standard 2.2 right? I would like to see 2.2.1 have all the great bene's of a reboot option, stagefright, etc etc on a rom..... more so a cyanogen rom would be sweeeeeeeeeeet! Anywho thx for all of your hard work, devs.... Asa, andy, getitnow, etc etc (sorry if i left any out but tbh im a lazy bastard)
 
Flashed it to my phone and it's fine. Try powering on holding home+vol. down+power and get back in the recovery menu. Then wipe everything and reflash.
 
Damn, Guess Im gonna have to buy a new phone. Just to let everyone know. It was not the custom rom that bricked my phone. His file was working fine. It was my own lack of knowledge.

look around forum there is a way to fix your phone. if u lack knowledge, id rather pay someone on the forum to help you with repair rather than buy a new phone.

No it was pretty much dead. It wouldnt boot into recovery or anything. It wouldnt connect to the computer. Its cool i just went and bought a new one. No big deal. Now to do the custom rom and recovery again.
 
I tried the rom thank you for it. I like that red eye. (more of an egg but still nice)
I could not overclock my phone. setcpu sees the kernal but every time I try to change the frequency it force closes.

Is it happening no matter what number you set the max to or is it happening when you try and set it over 806. Mine was working up until 768 or maybe the next setting lower. But when i tried 806 or higher it would automatically reboot. So make sure you arent putting it too high. Each phone is different. Some will go to a higher setting than others. I bricked that phone so i had to get a new one today and i got lucky. This one is running overclocked at 844 or so without rebooting so far. Mine wont go up to 864. Thats alot higher than my other one i had. my total was about 1371 on quadrant advanced
 
Unless I get a request for new hardbutton layout. What is this you ask? I changed the button layout on my phone as such:
1 camera focus button now actually calls the camera instead of focus
2 side search button is now an additional power button
3only the menu button and power button can unlock the screen

and Andy if you get on here let me know cuz i am teaching myself this on the fly. I will put aside the learning of applications to test this but if you come around then you can help get this done faster. :)

I upload all my android files to google docs. I've never heard of anyone having that problem. I just tested this out signed in as one of my other google aliases and it took me to the download page
 
Asadullah I don't know if you got my pm but after you boot none of the buttons work but power. So you can't close outta whatever app you open.

Thats really really really odd :confused: they don't work at all. I'm sure by now you've pushed the old files back. If not send me a pm and I'll send you an update zip to fix.

Yeah none of the buttons did anything. Im pretty sure i did it right. I dont know exactly how to adb push so i just used root explorer to send it to the correct folder. The buttons worked fine in the recovery menu though.
