I get that, but now he's on z4, laf is restored, and he doesn't have root. He has to go back and start over.
Yeah and it's going to be quite the feat. Since i don't have root im not sure how im even going to be able to revert to z3 or flash any roms 😕
Update: I've whipped up a new ROM, this one has all the previous stuff, deodexed, zipaligned, etc, but now this one is lightly debloated and has gapps updated, even more exciting, now it updates the radio and the kernel (or at least it should) and you shouldn't have to flash superuser. I haven't had the time to test it but I've been really excited to release it to you all, so as with any other ROM, flash at your own risk and I cannot stress enough to make a backup of your current partitions. Enjoy
Link removed until I fix it
Now, my questions are:
1. do I have to restore the laf.img? if yes, how?
2. how do I update the SU binary
3. if there is another update rom, do I follow the same steps from post #1 to flash the new rom?
1. laf is restored upon flashing, but no, you don't HAVE to restore it unless you want download mode.
2. Did you install SuperSU from the store?
3. Depends...if there is no further development in getting custom recovery working, then yeah, the process will probably be similar for future updates.
So I've been at work practically all day trying to figure out why I'm getting the status 6 error and I just can't figure it out! But I see that we have bump now!I'm so excited to unleash this beast!!!
When you flash this ROM again does it overwrite CWM?Flashed this very easily with the new recovery we have. Also flashed the radio.img with no problem and have c8 now. Been running it for a day and is smooth as butter.
