What do you guys think about froyo???

Personally, I loved the Froyo era and all the ROM's and kernels that were released during that time period. I especially love ROM's based on the 3.29xxxx build. I got the best battery life/signal then.

well im still a noob and would like to try it. what do you think???

Make a nandroid and give it a go! I suggest any one of Virus' ROM's found here or Myn's Warm 2.2 RLS5 found here. Let me know when you're finished flashing so I can suggest some kernels.
thank you just gonna stick with mikG for now till i learn a little more plus i like it lol but do you know any kernels for mikg????

No more than you probably already know lol. The only ones available (to my knowledge) for GB ROM's are Chop Suey, Golden Monkey, and Freedom.

For some strange reason when I try to download the latest radio combo, it just hangs at "your download is starting"
Been there for over 10 minutes....

witch do you recommend?

GM works best on my Evo, but what works for mine may prove unstable on yours. Give them all a try and see which one is best for your Evo. Remember to allow the kernel you flash to settle for a few charge cycles before ruling it out and flashing another.

if you head on over to the op for this thread and scroll down to the second post you will see kernels that are available. go to the gingerbread kernels and pick one of the kernels there. for me my phone like the aggressive freedom kernel. but every phone is different so just try one of those kernels out and give it a few days before moving on to the next kernel. it usually takes a few days for kernels to settle in.

I tried to flash Unvisible twice while in recovery, got the "aborted" message both times. Got the h@ll out of there and rebooted before I borked.

You probably just got a bad download. Did you download the file from the unvisible site or the mirror? I got it from the mirror & had no problems. If you've done a nan backup, you'll probably be fine. Try deleting the zip you have off your sd, downloading fresh & reflashing. I wiped cache and d-cache 1st. Try that if you haven't already. Good luck!

I don't know why it's happening to me but the MikG ROMS lockscreens stop working on my phone so I have to always go back to a backup after removing my battery so I can get into my phone...

I don't know what might be making that happen, but one option to try before just reflashing altogether could be flashing one of the many mikg lockscreen mods. They're all on the mik forum. If you wanna try (assuming you're on mikg v 2.xx), here's a link : MikG v2.xx Mods and Tweaks -as always, make sure to make a nandroid backup 1st & wipe cache & d-cache before flashing . If you try, lemme know how it goes!

Okay, I'll try that later today if I get tired of Cyanogen Mod 7 which I'm still loving the battery life, lol.
