Root Root and CWM Recovery for ZTE Concord 2

Hey guys,
I'm willing to brick this ZTE Zinger if need be, but are there any files off of the Zinger I can send you in order for you to modify the files in the same way you modified it for the Concord 2?
Thanks

have you tried towel root or any other root methods

this Concord root method relies on a custom recovery that I made, and I was only able to make it because I had the phone in my possession

If you want I may be able to connect to you computer with team viewer and check a couple things to see if the vuln has been patched

I have a question about storage after root is complete (which worked first time). I can move apps to external SD but the apps are still using internal storage. is there a way to stop this? this is the first time I have ever had to do rooting so not really sure if this is normal.

tells me
failed to copy 'C:\Users\Guest\documents\ROOT\\tools\supersu.zip' to '/storage/sdcard0/supersu.zip : Permission Denied
I manually copied supersu.zip and installed via cwm recovery but I cant do anything with root. root checker basic tells me im not rooted various root required apps wont work help please

I have a ZTE Zinger as well. Yes, I've tried towelroot, and it does not work. I couldn't get the modelines to work either. Basically, I cannot get into root mode, period.

Yup, I've tried towelroot and all the other roots out there. Nothing so far.

Let me know of a time that works for you and we can set up team viewer. I'm right now hunting down a microsd card so I can create an image. If there's anything I can do on my end before, let me know.

You guys who are having issues with towelroot, you can download the Root Master app from the internet and run it on your phone. That's how I rooted mine. However, Kingo will work as well, with most devices that have an unlocked bootloader.

Got a rooted ZTE Concord II that is semi-bricked. It will power up and light the screen but it freezes with nothing but ZTE on the screen. Any way to unbrick it?

Yes, you can do a hard reset, but you will lose all data.

You can access this by pressing and holding the home button+volume up+power. And wipe your data and cache.

How long do I have to hold the home button+volume up+power? After several seconds, the power LED is alternating between green & red. After all the buttons are released, the power LED still switching between red and green but nothing on the screen.

Okay then, it is actually soft bricked. This can be fixed by putting it into fastboot and fixing it through the PC, if you have one.

Talk to hroark13 , he can provide further help with this. I specialize in no PC root methods.

Is there a link about fastboot?
Hope hroak13 sees my posts (because I cant PM him). Thanks.

Hi guys, I have some problems.
1. I have my phone connected to the PC, I have enabled USB Debugging
2. which of the two versions have to use 2 or 3?
3. before installing the "ADA-ASEC-Root.bat", as it should be on my phone ?, normal or should I switch to "volume up + power button" and turn that way ??

Now try the following:
I connect my phone to pc with USB Debugging enabled, then using "volume up + power button" turned on my phone, then install the "ADA-ASEC-Root.bat" of version 3. The phone may reboot sometimes , failure to copy the '' supersu.zip "to SD, never reboot into Recovery, and" yes - fix root "never appeared.

I have a lot of questions. First, do i create a folder and then extract the files to it? You are not specific. Second, when i double-clicked the .bat file the cmd said
" Device Status: Unauthorized
Device should prompt to allow(hit always allow)
Make sure the device adb drivers are installed.
Press any key to continue.............."

I have the usb drivers and adb drivers installed for my zte Concord 2. Im stuck and do not know what to do
Third, should my device be turned off, on or should it be in system recovery(the green andriod with the open chest and triagnle) . A video would have really helped for us visual learners.

P.S. Im being very specific just to make sure i dont miss anything. Not to offend you!

yes create a folder in the root of your C drive and extract the files to it

did you enable usb debuggin on the phone ?

your phone should be booted into android when you do this

I have already asked people to make a video, and no one wants to help out, I dont have the time to do it
