root apps

I would like to start a conversation about the best apps for a rooted device

the rooted apps i have installed on my device are;
Font Installer
Greenify
Quick Boot
Root File Manager Pro
Screenshot Easy Pro
SetCPU(i'd like to know what are the best settings for this app. At the moment I have set CPU governor to ondemand with the I/O scheduler set to cfq. Upon screen off I have set the CPU governor to switch to powersave.
VRoot
Xposed Installer

Is there other root apps that I should know about. I am particularly interested in power saving as much as possible.

Should be number one on anybody's list. Even though there are backup alternatives - some even non-root - TB is without peer IMO.

Only if you pay lol.

Helium free>titanium free

BUT

Titanium Pro>>>>>Helium Pro

But yeah, TiPro is probably the best root app hands down.

How about Rom Toolbox (pro)?
It does. EVERYTHING!
Including app backup but I'm in the habit of using titanium for that.
RT makes it easy to change font, boot animations, edit buildprop, even turn a gif into a boot animation.. Loads of stuff I can't think of or haven't scratched the surface.
Also Xposed Framework if you can call that an app

Just bought and used it on two devices lol. Freed up 500mb on my tab lol. What should I be careful of? Thanks

It's just a very powerful app, it can do just about anything, but it's pretty safe if you leave the settings at default, unless you really know what your doing. Just an example, like when you click on duplicates, it will bring up all duplicated files on your device, which some can be deleted and some can't. When i click on duplicates ,i have 3 roms backed up on my phone and some of the files show up as duplicates , but i wouldn't want to delete them because i would be deleting files that are needed for my backups.

Just be careful of the files you are clearing out. Under app control, you can long press on an app and do all sorts of things, freeze it, delete it, change it, etc.

There is an advanced setting also that i haven't even checked into yet.

I'm just saying, if a member is new to being rooted, just be careful of what your doing with this app, i don't want to see anyone delete the wrong file, or app and have a very expensive paperweight. ;)

Understood pal thanks.
See the App Control thing, could there be any issues by disabling auto start of apps that don't seem to need it?
What schedule have you set and for what features?
"corpse finder' is my fav btw :D

I don't use the scheduler, about once a week or after a reboot, i like to go in an clean each section. I probably should use the scheduler, but i like doing it myself (old habit) . As for the autostart apps, i'm on an old device running a barebones old rom with a lot of system apps deleted or frozen to gain system space allowing for more ram and speed. You'll have to experiment with that, i don't know your device. I know with newer devices these days if you freeze say a certain app it can cause a whole slew of problems. Which someday i guess I'll find out cause this phone won't last forever, but i still love it and even the members that have moved on to better devices still come back to this phone because of the great developers and what they are doing with this phone. ;)

SD Maid Pro: Attention at clear "Empty Folders". Some of them was created by apps and some of them are used by the system.
For Screenshot Easy as second app i recommend Screenshot Cleaner for cleanup Statusbar (with sometimes private infos) in the pictures.
