Root root cricket zte grand x max

Is there a way I can save the script for a easier process or do I have to manually input it in

For now I just copy /paste the script in terminal when needed. Softboot retains full r/w. Hardboot loses it. Sooner or later I will figure out permanent r/w, the script basically acts like a key to the system for now.

OK, I have created a script through Rom Manager that will Hardboot and retain r/w. Get Rom manager and in scripts create new script. I called mine Root. Enter this :

Enter this : su(ent) dd if=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/boot of=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/recovery(ent) reboot recovery(ent) Run this script instead of restarting your phone when you need Hardboot. It retains r/w.

it's basically a work around but it works and it's better than entering the script into the terminal everytime. Run the script and it does it for you. Just enter script in my above post, save it and run it instead of restarting your phone.

Thank you this will save me time a whole lot of time unless someone finds a full method that keeps it up on hard boot

I have noticed that doing soft reboots through xblast will retain full root rights after making various changes. But a hard reboot will lose rights again. I have to figure out how to keep full rights. Boot image seems to keep rewriting itself after hard boot.
I could not get your script to work but I just created 2 scripts

script one dd if=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/boot of=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/recovery

Then script 2 reboot recovery

It works just have to do a two part click. Still faster then the copy and paste

Thanks Christopherco and Cgrimm9 for all your hard work, this phone has been super trickey, have an unstable rom, gets stuck in bootloop 3 times before it runs, but, trying to make everything stick, will upload in a couple of weeks, sorry everyone, super busy, but lucky for all of us my friend gave me a another phone to work with, with a cracked sceen, so I have a tester, thanks again

Is it going to be deodexed please say yes I was trying to get out done to my phone but I crashed it three times so I gave up

It will be deodexed, and debloated, but its so unstable, native launcher is giving me hell, so tsf shell is running on it so far the best, I'll keep you up to date as much as possible...

Sorry, my zte got stuck in a bootloop, tried to recover it, and it just fails, so, just going to get another phone, if i come up with something I'll keep everyone up to date

So here is something wierd, plugged into windows computer with phone turned off, and it read as a v970, dont know if this will help anyone, but just wanted to put that out there to see if anyone else has had the same thing happen. I think that is the grand x, but not positive....

TWRP acts kinda weird when you need to boot into recovery. Wait until phone goes completely asleep and then hit power. Don't change screen sleep settings in TWRP. I learned the hard way, I set settings so screen would stay on. Don't. I had to uninstall and reinstall to get back into recovery. Hope this helps everyone.
If you get the latest version of TWRP for the ZMax you won't have the TWRP UI weirdness. It boots up correctly and works perfectly!
