Root root cricket zte grand x max

It seems that you sent me the boot.img twice. Can you pull the recovery.img again? You didn't dd your boot.img to your recovery partition did you?
Edit: Never mind. Just got your message with the recovery.img. Both the boot.img and recovery.img match the md5s you sent me

Yes I'll hold all the originals, and sure thing. I used the command "dd if=recovery of=/sdcard/recovery.img". Then I got the md5, and then uploaded it to drive. Do I need to do something else?

The system.img zip just won't download. I think it may have gotten corrupted during the upload. The boot.img and recovery.img both downloaded with no issues and the md5 sums match. See the screenshots below.

It's taking some time to upload the system.img.zip this time. The first one went pretty fast, so I'm thinking it was a bad upload. My upload speeds aren't that great, but it's uploading still. I might fall asleep, but will send you the file in the Am.

I've got it and I'm extracting it from the zip. It failed the first couple of times I tried to download it but this time I got it to work by using opera browser instead of chrome. I'll let you know soon if the md5's match.
Edit: They all match. Thanks very much!!!

All the md5s match. The recovery and boot are both good and I checked the md5 for the system both before and after extracting it from the zip and everything matches perfectly. Thank you very much! If I could hit the like button another 10 times I would.

No problem, I seen the hard time you were having with getting the files you needed. I'm just glad I could help! Thank you for taking the time to work on this device!

Can't wait to see what you come up with. Once I backup I will be available for testing it. Maybe we can use butter kernel or even better you make a greater one. Thanks for your hard work.

My main concern is making you all recovery zips for flashing back to factory stock. Oh and I flashed the stock kernel for the Grand X Max+ on my Zmax and the camera wouldn't work so any kernel made for the zmax will cause the camera on the Grand X Max+ to not work.

I think that's the major issue between the two phone when it comes to flashing Roms. Figure out the camera issues. We will have some good rom development already.

To be honest, I don't know the first thing about compiling kernels or building aosp/cm roms from source. What I DO KNOW is how to make recovery flashable roms that are pure stock, which for this phone is invaluable because zte doesn't give us anywhere to download the stock firmware for our devices or a tool to Flash it.

Thanks to you we can get a forum with the stock zips to help those who need stock. Always a good thing to revert back to stock.

Yeah I've already had to warranty two Zmax devices due to display issues caused by cheap hardware and if I wasn't able to revert back to complete stock I'd be screwed. I usually keep my phone in my back pocket because my front pockets stay full of keys, knives, and coins. Every other phone I've had didn't have this problem but zte doesn't make the hardware sturdy enough to withstand being kept in the back pocket by someone who is 6' tall and weighs 185lbs like me. When I sit down the phone flexes and it takes a less than a month for the phone to go bad from the stress. It doesn't take much force to bend and twist the phone and when I do the screen will turn blue or green or just black out and the device will shut off until I smack the back of it really hard then it comes back on. It's so bad now that it will bug out at random times. I'm getting my second warranty replacement in less than a month later this week.
Edit: I guess I'll have to take it out of my pocket before I sit down from now on lol.

Lol. I usually get the case with belt clip slide out. I have one for my max+ and a outer box clone case. These phones are to big to sit on. The flex was the only phone for that. Lol
My case cost $10 on amazon with pen and screen protector.

My only problem with the belt clip cases are that unless it is made by seidio or or otterbox they break easily. I had one of the cheap knockoff cases with a belt clip and holster and the clip broke and caused the phone to Fall into a toilet. Since then I refuse to trust a belt clip holster that isn't made by seidio or otterbox.

I keep everything in my left pocket, and my phone in my right pocket. I've been doing that for a while now lol. I'm 6 foot 225lbs I would break my phone in half sitting on it lol.
