Root root cricket zte grand x max

By the way, the script works to gain r/w access to system in 5.1. But you need to flash MaserChief's prerooted stock first.

It works exactly same as when we had kitkat. Flash MasterChiefs prerooted stock. Install Twrp. write script in rom toolbox. Save and execute it. When phone boots up you will have r/w acess to system. I use root explorer to confirm

I got something better than that for you guys. By the way I'm putting the pre-rooted stock 5.1 and the modem update zips together and adding the new splash screen(the screen that comes up before the boot animation). I'm gonna make y'all some rw zips for the lollipop ROM too.

What is the best way to keep my data and move up to lollipop? Can I restore everything via titanium backup after I've wiped everything, installed lollipop and the Wi-Fi fix?

Also, what will the path be to full system rw if I install lollipop and the Wi-Fi fix now?

Thank you very much and yes that would be awesome I'll be waiting for that it's going to be totally awesome

Which is the correct XPosed for our device? It appears that there are several different XPosed frameworks that are unofficial for Android 5.1. Is http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/super-alpha-posted-permission-xposed-t3072979 the correct one??
I believe there are 3 different xposed installer zips(arm, arm64, & x86). You want the arm zip because that is the CPU type that the z987 has. Grab the xposed uninstaller zip too because that one can come in handy if you get a module that causes a bootloop.

Masterchief87 how much more until you post the new zip should I wait or update with the prerooted zip and the WiFi fix?

Does anyone kbow if the warranty on the device covers unusual wear and tear i have noticed i can see the touch screen hardware around the edge of my screen when the screen is off and it is growing rapidly day to day... So far it hasn't effected the screen when on that i noticed but I fear it will soon. I bought the phone new when crivket made me update to 4g right after they sold me an s3 4 months prior and failed to tell me it wouldn't function in 4 months. I already feel they ripped me off cause when i bought the s3 i would of just got the s4 or s5 had I known i was only getting the phone for 4 months

If the exterior of the phone is undamaged they should cover it. If you get a replacement, try to get one that hasn't already been updated to lollipop. That way you can root it, install TWRP, and flash my pre-rooted lollipop update. This issue with your screen may just turn out to be a blessing in disguise if you can get a new one that is still running KitKat.

MasterChief,

1) Thanks so much. You da man!
2) I'm furiously restoring away with Titanium, but have been concentrating on apps only right now. What data can I safely restore without screwing things up? Would sure like my Wifi passwords, for instance!

I notice a new Developer Option "Enable OEM Unlock" - does this mean that we finally have a simple path to full System access???

Yea nothing wtong with the exterior and im sure ill get the kitkat version as the tend to send refurbished phones... Do you know the process to warranty the phone

The phone looks brand new it has been in a case since i bought it no scratches nothing just the hardware showing through when the screen is off
