Root Root for Fierce 2?

I've created a quick and dirty set of scripts that should assist in replacing kingoroot with SuperSU. I'll be creating a topic dedicated to it to help anyone who has problems without cluttering up this thread, but if anyone wants to use it while I type up a new thread, you can find it here:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/hxu1j7n4lptexih/Kingo.to.SuperSU.v1.zip?dl=0

It's not completely automated, but it should take care of the heavy lifting, and comes with fairly detailed instructions.

So, ive been trying this kingroot method all day and it never gets passed 30% and fails. I've done everything this thread has told me like running antutu and making my phone lag, then clearing app data of kingroot after reboot and trying again. Its been a couple of hours and I was wondering if anybody could help me out here.

i could help you i was loosing all hope i thought it was just a lie but it isn't! what i did was deleted the kingroot and antutu benchmark and installed the english verson of Kingroot http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/one-click-root-tool-android-2-x-5-0-t3107461 let it sit and do the work even if it reboots it will still work! trust me i hope i helped :)

Don't worry. I thought I was the exception maybe cause I updated, maybe I didn't have the right programs that other people tried in the past and so on. And then it happened. My phone would always reboot. I didn't clear the cache and data unless the envelope was blue or AnTuTu FYI. One time after many tries it got to like 30% and restared. I went into kingroot and it flew to 100% and I've been rooted ever since. It happens. It just takes patience and persistence.

okay guy's idk if i bricked or not but i tried to install a pp from xposed and then i rebooted and now its stuck on the t mobile logo how do i fix it i need help

I'm working on porting CWM, has anyone tried to unlock the bootloader, or try fastboot mode? I'm only porting CWM because its easier, but not too easy any help would be appreciated.
My phone is just stuck there at the Alcatel Screen. Can't use adb (unless there is a whole system backup), SD won't work, it doesn't recognize external SD , guys I'm ****ed, o well getting the LG L70 next week, BTW I Will still be making a custom recovery for the Fierce 2 for y'all :)))))

I don't mean to sound rude, but I think you're getting a bit ahead of yourself. I dumped the bootloader to take a peek, and it appears to not only be locked, but also to have disabled fastboot entirely. Even if you build a recovery, flashing a recovery.img is an almost certain way to end up with a paperweight. We'll need a 2nd init recovery that hijacks the normal boot process, like Safestrap. These require several modifications on /system, and mistakes can easily cripple a device. Without a way to restore the factory rom, it's a fairly dangerous combination, especially for inexperienced devs. Under no circumstance should random users be testing in-progress builds, it'll just end up with bricks all around.

While we're on the topic of bootloaders, at a quick glance ours doesn't seem to be the same codebase as anything with a recent exploit. I'll do some further digging as I can and see if I can match it to an existing open-source project, to help narrow down potential unlock exploits.

I rooted my phone successfully with Kingroot after many tried. Root stays after many reboots. Does that mean I have the perm root?

I used Link2SD and other apps to remove some preinstalled apps ( i.e facebook) in unremovable folder. However, those apps still shown up on the app list again. Does anyone successfully uninstall those apps from unremovable folder? Or that means that I only have temp root?

Thanks

Eject battery, insert battery, hold volume up + power until phone powers on, go to format device press yes, press reboot, wait one minute, eject battery, insert battery, power on as you usually would and you're phone should be up and running.

Hello I'm a new member. I just hit my one hundreth try of this root procedure. To no avail. I've tried most of the attempts with antutu and clearing cache of both. Can anyone reproduce this root with a high success rate? Also I would like more in depth instructions preferably steps. It seems there are numerous combinations of things people are doing. I just want the procedure that will work. Fierce 2 7040T
