I'm going to be purchasing one of these pretty soon, within the next month or so...and I am going to teach myself how to root so that we can get root on this phone....but, your best bet is to donate to PG so that he can get one himself and root it for us

Also once you guys do get root, make sure you don't use ROM Manager....at least not until a proper CWM is built..

Nope PG doesnt do the rooting, just scripting it so its easy to use for the non savvy.

I r learning tho

When I bought the phone the other day I did so feeling pretty confident that root would be available before too long. I'm sure I won't be disappointed.
Personally my main reasons for rooting are ad-blocking and being able to do app backups. I'm fine with the stock ROM and performance.

It hasn't been underclocked though.....the other thread in the non root section shows they are running at 1.5 GHz

Hate to ask an obvious question, but had anyone tried the root from the Connect or Spectrum since its the same way to root those phones.

Well it was worth a shot Im gonna try something from the LG L series that has root access.
