We appreciate the update acidbath5546. I know some people will complain that it really isn't and update but it's reassuring to know Dev's are still working on it. I purchased and ipod touch 2 years ago so I had to wait 4 months before a jailbreak was found so I don't mind waiting at all. The Incredible is a great phone as it is. Keep up the work.

The N1 was set by the factory to root. No one had to crack it. Getting it not to say you cracked it will probably never happen though. I think the incredible will be cracked because of the popularity. At least I hope so.

now more an EVER i want root! :)
i mean...i do like my phone as is...just having the option to get all that 2.2 goodness is driving me!!! GOOO ANDROID!! :)

I actually can't wait to root to put stock Android on mine as well. I do love Sense, but I feel it adds way more than I need. Plus, at times, it just feels like a bit too much to use and just really isn't an experience I'm using to it's entirety. I've never really used Stock for an extended period of time, but the only thing I'd really miss from Sense is the HTC helicopter/expose or whatever it's called view. I love the pinch to zoom out. Regardless, I cannot wait! :)

Thanks to all you lovely devs working so hard at this! The whole Android community appreciates it!

I don't know what kind of incredible you've got but mine stays at 998 100% of the time.

Me too. My awake time is fraction of the uptime but something's killing it. Guess I'll start the investigation. Thanks for the recommendation on the widget folks.

Mine is a constant 998 and i basically killed everything on my phone, though my battery does last pretty much all day

Wow thanks, put that on and it actually shows the CPU throttling down. Looks like its the Overclock widget and not an issue with my phone or app running in the background...

Get a app called System and see if you can see what application is keeping your processor up all night :)

Is it just called "System"? Because I've used appbrain and the marketplace to search, and I can't seem to bring anything up! :( The same seems to be happening for me as well, but my uptime is either 1:1 or it's 1:5 or around that ratio. It's the oddest thing in the world.

I'm sure if the Devs got the HTC Incredible for free at Google IO we would be sitting here with root lol instead they gave out the EVO - boooo
I agree. You give devs a phone and it will be rooted super fast.

Maybe the EVO could help with the Incredible, although in the original blog post it said they didn't think it would.
