People are so negative , I don't get why you just can't be optimestic and supportive of something alot of people want.
I'm super excited and can't wait for some of the great rom cookers to put together some fantastic ROM options for the Incredible. Great Memorial Day present

Right after I post it it's reported as a Hoax lol ohh well . Off to the pool

Root being achieved was a Hoax, I can't tell who or what is true lately, sorry for prematurely reporting, things have gotten out of control in the android community.

Oh, I must have caught it in between edits. So we have completely decided it's not real? I was staying silent and hoping it was true.
 
Thats too bad. Was lookin forward to it. Oh well. Still a sweet phone. Hope this forum and the forum at xda didnt manage to tick off all the devs and cooks working on it.

How did I lose credibility? I was speaking to people that I thought were ethical and trustworthy and they proved they were not.
I was lied to as I am sure we have all been, it sux and is a crappy thing.
But they also fooled reputable news sources and sites as well, so all I can say is it sucks.
I have never tried to do anything but help and be a productive member of the community.

Here is the real story, the pics were fake, not from Jake day but some fraudulent member.

James friend also never had root and was lying to him.

So there we are and I am so so sick of all the BS and the flaming and lying!

Maybe you should have waited for proof before declaring it real?

Honestly I have no idea what's going on here, exactly. Didn't boostdscoob post earlier in this thread as a cheerleader for jake, and now there's a boostdscoob on xda claiming it's all a donation scam and not the real jakeday?

The problem is that there are jakedays like 5 different places and at least two of them aren't real according to boost.

So you speak to Jake over googletalk, and you say he confirms its his pic, and it is indeed rooted. Now you say you've been lied to, and that he is unethical and not trustworthy? I don't think things like this just "come to be" over a matter of a short time.

That is how you lost credibility along with boost and jake
 
Now BoostdScoob is posting that he has had nothing to do with this root process. I was trying to stay positive but this is getting to be too much!

Dudes, Acid rocks for at least trying to keep us in the loop, don't blame him for some stupid childish way of getting into news site, Jake lied and tricked everyone.

Acid keep up the good work, and tell those dev's from us we are all rooting for them... (pun intended) :P
 
It makes perfect sense. He has connections with Jake because he is Jake. He also got his donations up. I believe Acid bath is the real the Jake here. Hes playing both ways, got the money scam and now is finally ending the show. I mean look no one else seems to be able to contact this Jake guy. How did he get in touch with him, hes not on forums, there seems to be multiple imposters. Lol Acid is the real Jake.

Dude he's just reporting what others are telling him so that we all can stay in the loop! Back off him! Ever think that maybe he was tricked by being given a false gtalk ID and the person he thought was Jake wasn't actually Jake?

I appreciate what you have done...

Everyone, I am as bummed as the rest of you. But lets remember how Montana Man was crucified for reporting what he had, and it all came out alright. Mind you a little later than most of us want or wanted, but at least we got what we wanted.

We will get Root. This too will come out alright. Patience. It's the holiday. Go have a brewskie and enjoy the family and grub.

It will all come out in the end.

Either Jake or someone posing as Jake posted a Gtalk ID on ninebysix.com in the comments...
 
Acid is posting as Jake to do the scam. Its the perfect crime, no one would think it is him because he is considered legit. He knows Jake and talks to him, only because he is him. He also probably got the donations high enough, so now he is ending the show, because he does not want to get caught. Its him I know it!!!
 
He was probably talking to an importers. Jake screenname is "jake" on alldroid He is also a mod in the incredible section. "Jake Day" is not him. The picture is a hoax yes but not one released by the real jake.

So were right back where we started. We don't know anything and there is someone out there trying to tarnish peoples name by dispersing fake info.

Honestly, please do not accuse Acid of ANYTHING until you know for sure. That is not fair to him to say he did anything shady.

IMO, at this point, we can for sure say that Jake (on any level) has lost all credibility, along with Scoob, which is sad. And the fact that all of a sudden after it was discovered to be a hoax, Scoob is now saying he has nothing to do with it is more than fishy

Edit: I also find it a little disturbing that Scoob is saying that Jake has now lost all interest in the Android community, AFTER getting a free Incredible?
