Hey Doug, I asked this custom in a different thread but there isn't much activity in there so I figured I'd ask it in here...
is the only way to get into recovery to go through HBOOT? I know on my Eris Vol Up and power was HBOOT Vol Down and power was recovery.
Also, Is there a specific overclock kernel that I need to flash to use setCPU? I'm not interested in flashing any ROM's (yet
) so I'm just trying to figure out how to use setCPU. I know on my Eris I had to flash zanfur's patch but there are a million kernels for the Inc (seems confusing to be honest)

If I am not plugged into a PC yes I go through hboot. Most often I just "adb reboot recovery".

Ok guys got some good news!!! Rooted, Nandroid Backed, Unrevoked splash screen and running Myn's warm two poin two rom!!!! I am ecstatic about the world of rooting!! so much more to learn but this overclocked kernel included with the ROM is so fast! thanks for all your help!!! Also the downgrade back to factory went exceptionally smoothe thanks Doug for the downgrade image. Obviously I only did it so I could see if it was doable. Now I know exactly how to do it all without reading a walkthrough!
