Rather than freaking out on this, do a little reading. Many people here have Boost phone are are running custom ROMs that were developed on the Sprint side. They did the fix for their MMS and have them working just fine, and they aren't all techie people..

I don't know the first thing bout how to fix the mms. also how to download the rom or install it. I do have the tar file downloaded you said to download but would like to know if the tar is for boost or sprint so I can decide if I want to go with custom rom or stay with boost stock cause I've tried to use setcpu and boot animation but don't seem to work. I am rooted with framaroot and have istalled busbox. I just want to root my phone with a good custom rom without messing my phone up.

Well then your phone is rooted. The tar I posted about to you earlier was for a kernel for Touch Wiz Jelly Bean, that had a custom recovery. It doesn't matter if you are on a Boost GC01 ROM or a Sprint GB27 ROM, that kernel will work for it. You can get Mobile Odin from the play store if you want to install it from the phone without needing to use a PC. If you read the One Stop Shop initial post in its entirety, you would come across the link to the post that tells you how to fix MMS for custom ROMs.

You really do need to just take your time and do some reading. Custom ROMs that the Developers make will have a detailed post about them that includes instructions for install. Many contain screen shots to show how they look.

Truthfully, if you are just wanting a different look to your phone's UI then just download a different Launcher from the play store. Many launchers are able to have custom themes and can make your phone's UI look very different, without needing a custom ROM to do it.

I understand and have apex launcher installed. I also have mobile odin. I know that sprint works for boost but i want to keep boost bloat ware. If i was to use mobile odin would i still have to install the su zip in recovery and afterwords would i be able to delete the framaroot app and busy box

The only thing installing that kernel will do is give you a custom recovery, and the ability to use apps that let you over clock for tweaking. You do not even have to install it if you don't want a custom recovery. It does not change your ROM or its bloat apps. You rooted with framaroot so SU is already installed. Some apps for rooted users depend on having Busybox, so just keep Busybox, and keep framaroot..

If you are concerned about keeping your Boost bloat apps, then a custom ROM is NOT for you. Stick with the stock rom and just use things like apex launcher etc...

Then you have your answer. You need to install that kernel if you want to be able to overclock using a cpu clock control app. The sto ck kernel doesn't support overclocking.

Ok but after i use mobile odin to install that kernel and gain a custom recovery. will i still need to keep framaroot and busybox? Also will i have to boot into recovery and install the superuser zip? One more thing what are the benefits of installing a custom rom?

I refer you to the quote of my earlier post, especially the bold part. By the way, "SU" stands for Superuser. If you are just wanting overclock, the "Only" thing you need to do is install that kernel.

As for benefits of a custom ROM, that will depend greatly on which ROM you install. Here is a hint, "their features are listed in the ROMs OP along with the instructions". However, custom ROMs are not known for containing "any" of the bloat apps, so if you actually do want things like Boost zone, then stay stock.

Or backup those apps from a stock ROM and reinstall them after flashing the custom.
