that is so wierd... i have flashed it,and flashed back to other stuff on mine,i really thot it would be fine. im extremely sorry if it did cause your crash,i would never have put the link up if i had thot it would do that :(

if they can add it,and i get one,ill certainly hook you up somehow.

Not your fault man, I did this on my own.... Heck would not do what I needed it to anyways.... The link you posted for the unbrick box is a download of superuser. Can you give me the real link I would like to read up on it....

Yeah that is very interesting................. I most likely will get one of those just to play with.... I do have one of the XTC clips that came in today to mess with now... :)

I bought a Droid X today stuck on red Motorola screen today... I am scared to screw with it the way my record has been lately......

ive got an xtc clip as well. its alot of fun,ive been know to buy phones,clip s-off them,then resell,lol... ive used it on a few thunderbolts,an inc 2,an inspire 4g, wildfire s,mytouch 3g,mytouch 3g slide. i got a nexus one hoping touse it on that,but the DIAG files it creates dont work.. it just hangs. makes me mad,lol,i like my devices s-off.

im an htc guy... i boughta droid x once thinking i cluld fix and resell,since the locked bootloader should make it next to impossible to brick,but it appaerntly had some sort of hardware failure.

if they add merge support ill buy one of those boxes for sure. if then dont,i may still buy one :eek:

from the riffbox thread,if you didnt see it. so i think that means the box can fix it :o as soon as he replys again,i will prolly order one. :cool:

Hey were do they come from? I mean are they in the US or do they have to come from China or something? Heck I will buy one myself just to fix bricked units..........

Oh yeah after all that happened to me with the Merge.... I have finally tracked down the correct Radio to use so it will read Sim... I am suppose to have it by tomorrow.... I will send it to you so you can check it out and include it in this thread..... Or heck may be worth starting a new thread, lol

PS... Oh yeah I bought a Droid Razr tonight White (Mint)..... $200.00.... I think I will cut my sim card down out of the Rezound and use it for a little while... No way my son is getting this bad boy........

lol i have that one... ive run it before. it seems when i was trying to get my last merge to read my t mobile sim it didnt work(it worked fine as a radio but still would read the sim)

i can flash it on my current merge to make sure its safe,but since my current merge seems to read sims no matter what radio its on,im not sure we can determine if it actually will work or not. :eek:

ill download yours and compare it to the one ive got a lil later this evening.

i sent riffbox guy an email,havent heard back,so i sent him a pm this morning. im not sure exactly how to order it. :o as soon as he tells me what to do,ill get one coming.

when its here,if it works to resurect my dead merge,you can send me yours,and ill send you a working one back :D

Thanks, I appreciate it... I sold the Merge for parts yesterday but I do have a few other phones you can try the riff on when you get it....... I have another US Cellular Merge coming so if you test this Radio and me then we will know if it changes things....

well i havent gotten a chance to flash that radio yet,but i did finally paypal $$ to the riff box guys :) shipping is only $28 so i have a feeling it will be on the slow boat :eek:

Yeah, you may see it in about a month..... I thought I read there was a local supplier of them, like in California... I could be wrong though.... Has anyone on XDA you know got one yet and gave any reviews?

Also was I reading right that you will have to solder the cable onto the phone (Jtag)? If so count me out as I have never been worth a darn soldering.... But if you get one and feel comfortable with it I will send ya some work ;)

Oh yeah one more thing, did you get a micro sim cable with your xtcclip? I did not get one.. I did however get another cable with a thre way usb (micro, standard, and sd card reader) I have no clue what it does.....(Do you know?)

I did however unlock 5 phones today so paid for it already, hehe.....

there were a couple reports on xda from folks that had got them,and they worked... as for the soldering i hope not,lol... im not so great at it either. my impressions were that some models would require the jtag cable soldered,and some wouldnt,they would just need to be manually put into download mode(touching a certain pin to ground)

i cant wait for it to get here :D

on the cable,im not sure which one youre refering to... i got a cable that connects the clip to the pc,3 flex cables,and the goofy cable with the card reader.

the goofy cable is for windows phones. HTC HD7 Windows phone 7 unlocking using the XTC clip - YouTube

Hey I got a good one for you, I had a HTC Mytouch 4g that I purchased that would not read sim card (limited service message), I mean no sim card. I said wth let me try to unlock and see what happens.... guess what it unlocked and now it works... I mean it will read all sims now and works so in a essence it repaired a phone that had the dreaded limited service bug...hehe I am so happy on that one...........

the problem with your open mobile ruu,is that it uses a unique radio,so you cant borrow bits from existing ones to make it up. if you put your system,boot,etc. images together with a different radio,it prolly will still work,but it may not(see the info on the chinese rom above-mismatching radios or hboots can be bad) and if it does work,it will prolly not be optimized.

i will need to experiment/research wether it is safe to try and dump/relfhash the radio

Scotty,

Got another USC Merge, used the xtcclip to s-off....... Now just need to recovery/root. What did we decide on was a Rom that could be used where it unlocked radio? I forgot..... Also can you post a link of recovery/superuser etc.. I think I can just push these in adb correct?

PS... Oh yeah I got about 3 phones to send ya to try out the Riff box thing when you get it, if you like...... (Incredible/(2) Droid X's)
