@iamjohnm yes that's the one it should tell you what vulnerabilities your phone are still active. Im working on a command using a combination of python and busybox to execute the code as root which will elevate system privledges temporarily. Just enough for us to achieve a permanent root. @bcrichster you have a point lol if you worked at any of the mobile stores especially boost or Verizon they have to go through specific training In The operating systems along with the most common and easily exploitable vulnerabilities as well as how to fix them and install the updated security patches. Which would be highly beneficial to us all considering running the code as an update may be another avenue that's possible

Im ok without root for now.. this phone is badass... I have wifi teather workin thanks to the tread posted by buelled a rom and recovery would b nice and so would full root for some mods but as of now im content and will do what i can to help achieve root
 
Lol another troll I'm sure the closest ive gotten so far is a symlink to root using a basic command which is as follows. symlink(“/”, “./symroot”); not sure where to go from here however the terminal accepted the command and is displaying a blank box for input I need help with where to go from here I think I have tricked the phone into allowing me to gain root access with this command any ideas on what to do next?

Hey guys, I'm new to the forum and just wanted to say hey to everyone in this thread... I've been following closely to your conversation here regarding root for the Warp Elite... I wish you guys the best of luck... ( with hopes of fulfilling my own self interest as well lol). I am on my 2nd week with this handset and couldn't be more happy with it so far... I moved from a previous lg volt 2 and the difference is great... (except for the diffrence being that I was able to successfully root the Volt 2 with Kingroot). I feel like the Warp Elite even without root, is running circles around my Volt 2 with root... Previously for an example: I would play 8ball pool with az screen record running and experienced a laggy game and asphalt 8 wasn't the best experience but was mostly manageable... The Warp performed the double task of 8ball pool and screen recording like its nothing and asphalt 8 is amazing experience now.... So basically, before I rant any further and sound like I am making your thread about a review or side by side comparison instead of a source of root, I do have some questions... I wanted to post to this thread since you guys are the first group of fellows to show as much interest in this particular device and may be able to provide some basic knowledge that does concern root and the Warp Elite..... So.... What is going to be the best advantages to having root for the Warp Elite for basic to moderate users (very inexperienced with root other than removing bloatware, TB, over clicking ect...). If rooted will their be any guarantee for further development for the Warp Elite? And finally, since I know you guys aren't running rooted, what is recommended apps and layouts, managing tools to asure optimum performance for my handset without root for the time being??? Thanks in advance for any responses..
 
The reason I want root is to remove the bloatware. Also I will probably remove Google from the phone.

An app that I use and really like that doesn't require root is MoboClean. It lets you control the permissions of apps you have installed.
 
Hey welcome!! I suggest root uninstaller even though the core features require root the app is light and powerful able to freeze apps and such to decrease the load on the processor don't use battery savers they themselves are battery vampires if you do go with a memory accelerator find one that takes very little memory to run in the background and anytime the phone gets laggy or you just wanna give the CPU a break just push the button

Now I know there are alot of people watching this thread can someone help me go further into this I've achieved root permissions in the terminal I believe using a previous code I posted what's the next step?
 
symlink(“/”, “./symroot”); this is the command put it into the terminal emulator or Android terminal and copy and paste it from the s in symlink to the semicolon all of it tell me what you get
 
Download an app look for terminal emulator in Google play
Pick one then open copy and paste. These phones are kind of buggy so copying from the site and pasting doesn't work but paste into an empty message the copy it there and paste into the terminal
 
I did it with another terminal app, when I tried to paste the code again, it appeared differently.
