I've had my EVO rooted for awhile now and I have mikg ROM. I was wondering when I had downloaded the zip file on SD card. Is it safe to delete off card now? Or should I leave it there
It is safe to delete it, but if you have room on the sd card, it doesn't hurt to have a known good rom to flash in to in case of troubles.
It is also very important to have made and have on hand a nand of a known good configuration for the same purpose. These can all take up quite a bit of room, it is true. In the case where space is limited, you might want to go ahead and save one on your pc. You should take the opportunity to back up your Wimax in a nand, as well. You can have a backup solely of it if you want to. It could be invaluable in the event you need to restore your radios.
There are a lot of knowledgeable folk who call this forum their first home here on AF, feel free to take advantage of them. They like it.
yep, like dusty has said the flashable .zips, once they have been flashed can the be removed from the sd card. but for me i like to keep on on the sd card, just in case i need to fash a rom on the fly.....mainly in case something goes wrong, i have something already on the card that i can flash to get a working phone....but that is up to you.
