Root Rooted Incredible with Virtuous ROM - How do I stop it from trying to update Verizon OTA?

I rooted my Verizon HTC Incredible and installed the Virtuous ROM
after Verizon's OTA screwed everything up and forced all that bloatware on me. Everything was fine until I got a notification for a system update that was available. Since I don't want to go back to the Verizon bloatware isseus I checked to see if there was a new Virtuous ROM and there were two: 3.0.1 (stable) and 3.1.0 (not official yet). I decided to go with 3.0.1 but I also used the custom kernel. Anyway, I had a few issues like a constant "low on space" warning even though I have plenty of space available, so I decided to go to the stable 3.0.1 ROM. It worked fine but I still have the Low on Space notification and now I have a constant System Update Available notification again.

How do I get rid of these notifications? I just saw the Virtuous 3.1.0 ROM is now official but recommends the stock kernel so I am going to try that, but hopefully someone can answer these questions?

Thanks,

Jim

I am currently running the Virtuous 3.1.0 ROM. It has never notified me to install the OTA update. 3.1.0 runs the same kernel as the OTA update so you will not receive the OTA notifications.

+1 -- I am using the same ROM and have never been notified to install an update.

OK, when I had 3.1.0 I did not get the update notification, it was only when I went back to 3.0.1 that I got it... not to worry though because I upgraded back to 3.1.0 last night and used the stock kernel instead of the power saving one and all my issues with that seem to be fixed, including the update notification.

As for the low space thing, I do use Dolphin HD browser so that is interesting, I will try and clear that. The low space notification is not showing right now because I have not yet reinstalled all my apps so...

Thanks,

Jim
