This root method is easy as slicing through better took me different root methods to try to root this phone and finally i figure it out and hopefully somebody will come out with cwm and stock rom.

notes to root:
1.Download framaroot and Install it
2.Open up the framaroot
3.Dont touch it where it says install superuser
4.on the bottom you need to select either Aragorn or Gandalf once its selected your phone will freeze what you do is restart phone by the way power button still works.(the freeze part is on the app only)
5.Finally you rooted and enjoy

Nice Work mobclan!! You may have just inspired someone to buy this phone!!
Hopefully a Dev!!

Yeah, I might have got it if I had noticed that xda thread last weekend... on the other hand this s3 is pretty sweet! Time to void my warranty this weekend!

Your welcome I just need help who going to help with there part with cwm or twrp and also roms let me know I did the root guide

Has anyone tried this with the N9520 "ZTE Stormer" ?? I didn't find a forum for that device yet (probably because it is still so new/unreleased), but i was thinking maybe someone has played around with a pre-release version?

Anyway, the stormer is HUGE. If you stick 2 of them side-by-side, it's bigger than an ipad mini. I think it's a 6" screen. I dunno if that would even fit in my pocket.

We have a ZTE Warp 4G forum now, this thread will be moving there shortly.

When the Stormer releases outside of China we'll gladly add that one. :)

Has anyone else tried this rooting method?? Also, does unroot work (just in case need to get OTA update)??
Thanks!

I just rooted my phone yesterday, worked fine. Now I need to find out what changes I need to make to eliminate the browser bloatware and bookmarks!

youll have to change the fact that theyre on the phone... just be careful what you delete some things that seem useless break the phone if removed

Don't forget to make a CWM backup before modifying ANYTHING!! For just in case...:cool:

if i follow this method to root, it will not be an issue without a rom or kernal? and i should be able to just take off the bloatware (boost id and the like)? i just want the extra crap off and have root access.. this will allow that, correct?

yes, it will also allow you to break your phone. did you know if you delete certain bloatware it will crash the os? so be careful
