Root Rooting the Huawei Ascend for Cricket users!

These are the steps after you install z4root.

1) Do not open z4root before going into settings>applications>development amd enable USB Debugging.
2) Open z4root and select Permanent Root(Dont worry, you will still be able to unroot your phone)
3) If your phone turns off, then it is working. Your phone will turn on by itself.

Not sure why, but I dont see the z4rootapp among my apps. it would be close to last, starting with z. But phone says it downloaded successfully. How can I open it- cant find it

Joser....should I back up anything before I remove those apps?

I have Titanium open right now.

You should because it is possible that when you get the Android 2.2 update you may (keyword:may) need them for the update to install succesfully.

Go to File Manager in your app drawer, then touch the SD card icon on the top. Look in the Dolphin Browser Mini folder then install.

So did you backup all your apps and the entire system or just the ones you wanted to remove?

To find it, you need to go to the app drawer and go to File Manager. It hasnt appeared on your phone because you havent installed it only downloaded.
