Root Rooting the T510

Install the superuser app, then hit update binary in the settings of the superuser app.

That's it. It already has "su" in the command library. Amazingly easy.

10/10, would root again.

Very true, these tablets from "pre-rooted" you just need to install SuperUser.

CWM Recovery has been ported to the device and will be released publicly some time in the near future.

I have a T508/T510 and I don't have the "[FONT=&quot].apk" to install the superuser app. I have rooted the older T408/T410 by first installing the Gingerbreak ... apk, but I don't know if there is one for the newer T508/T510.

just curious as to why you need su? what phone do you have? are you trying to root the phone?

Yes, I know the thread is old; so is the tablet. I have a Velocity Micro Cruz T510 tablet; it runs 4.1.2. It's slow and dumb, but it was cheap. I thought I might try rooting it.

yeah chainfire the dev who created the original su app has taken the app out of the play store. there might be an apk floating around the net, just be careful where you get the apk's as some apk sites are notorious for viruses and other malicious stuff. i wonder if magisk might work on your device instead.

i could not really find much info on your tablet and how to root it.
