Root Rooting without a pc?

Just wondering if its been done or is possible by downloading the LG esteem zip and unpakaging from the phone itself. I really can't think of a good reason why it couldn't work. But it's better to be safe than sorry. Thanks in advance!

You could try but it would probably just reboot on you anyway

Doesn't work. After trying to open the run.bat file with the package installer I get "problem parsing the package"

the scripts would have to be rewrote to work from the phone.
