ok that is becuase you have clockwork mod recovery. it only supports edify while superwipe uses a script called amend. you need to switch recoveries if you want to use superwipe. i would suggest that you switch to amon ra recovery. the guide has a switching recoveries section that will show you how to switch recoveries.

or you could just skip that step and not use superwipe. but amon ra is a much better recovery anyways.

ok i did that and got mikg running but everything is force closing and wont let me do anything... what do?

what did you wipe? you need to wipe dalvik cache. cache, and data. also did you switch recoveries?

Got it all working now ... Thanks so much the mikg rom is awesome ... What can i do for battery help ... I heard I can make it last longer ... It's all because of this forums members help and for that I'm grateful...

You can flash a custom kernel to help with your battery life, and install setcpu with screen off profiles etc.

Simply put, there are only 4 kernels available for Gingerbread sense roms:
Golden Monkey
Freedom
Chop Suey
Poon Sense

The best way to start is go to the roms and kernels sticky at the top of the forum and scroll down to the kernels listing, there is a little info there on kernels. Read that then come back when you're ready and I'm sure you'll have a few questions before we get you rolling on kernels.

PS: I would link you to the right thread, but I'm I'm my phone. :)

like granite said you will need a custom kernel and setcpu to further help you with battery life.

here are some readings:

This just a theme for mikg. So all you need to do with themes is to write dalvik cache and cache and then flash the theme. it is not necessary to wipe data.

i have my phone working great i love it...

i wanna root my wifes evo 4g but she likes blue ... is there any blue themes for mikg?

I wish that something along the lines of the AOSP theme chooser could be implemented into Sense roms. I hate that everything has to be flashed and that it will only work with one rom, or even one particular build of a rom.

Normally I'm more of a blue theme guy, but I like that red theme a lot.

ok i read about the kernels ... which is best for mikg 2.61 that is for battery life.. the one about charging the phone over the mark of what its supposed to be was confusing lol...

well kernels will vary from phone to phone so it is hard to recommend a kernel that will work for you. what works for me may not work for you. so the best thing really is to make a nandroid backup, wipe, and start flashing some kernels.

i would start out with the aggressive freedom kernel and work your way down the list. you can get the kernel here:http://androidforums.com/evo-4g-all-things-root/284413-roms-kernels-download-page.html. go to the gingerbread kernel section and flash those. keep in mind that kernels are designed specifically for the type of rom you are on. so if you want sense gingerbread rom then make sure to flash those types of kernels. if you want aosp then make sure you find the aosp kernels and so forth.

And to add on to that, you may experience terrible battery life after flashing a kernel. Let it settle in for at least 72 hours before passing judgment on whether you are getting good or bad battery life with a kernel. For instance I flashed a kernel a couple weeks ago and it only lasted 8 hours with about an hour of screen time. The next day, I got about 2 hours of screen time with a similar usage pattern. Settling matters.
