*rumor*Bionic being pulled from shelves**

The picture is from a radio shack memo I seen it at noon (est) today there has been many returns/swaps so I think its just a radio shack thing it also said to save dummy phone for future use nothing to worry about ppl quit freaking out!!!

Since you said "possible" ... sure ... now if you said "probable" ...

Yeah sure it might save SOME power, but even 3G with those super AMOLED screens drained tons of power.

I am also concerned about no extended battery OR battery pulls...

What is something like the BSOD happens on the RAZR... What are you going to do exchange it?

I have a FEELING, I can't be absolutly sure, that pulling the battery in the Bionic is really overdoing it. I got my Bionic on day one and puled the battery once since then.

The next time you are in a jam and are tempted to pull the batery ... just switch off the screen and switch it back on. If you have the same problem power off the Bionic and power it back on. If you have the same problem pull the battery.

My GUESS is that you will end up never pulling the battery again.

If that is the case, there is no problem with the Razr.

Also the xoom has a sealed battery. When it locks up holding the volume up key and the power button together forces a reboot so I guess the razr will had something similar

Accurate documentation..

The "unsellable" Bionic. ;)

Lol. I just added the word unsellable to my swype dictionary. Lol

Within radio shack stores there are many rumors as to why they pulled the bionic. Such as threats from apple to pull iPhones from stores due to low sales.

Apple threatening them to remove a competitor's phone would be illegal. I really doubt that is what is happening.

I have only pulled the battery due to BSOD (black screen of death). If you have never had the BSOD then yes, I wouldn't pull the battery.

I've pulled mine a few times, but yeah, if I had been a bit less impatient there may have been another way. Most recently was for a strange freeze on everything. Screen was still on but everything was unresponsive. I yanked my battery in a hurry, but if I had just waited it probably would have been fine.

At least I didn't have to hook up to iTunes and fuss with a 3 hour reset.

I'm just starting a museum of Droids.

I hope so too. but the result they want to see is by pulling a better phone or would encourage the store employees to reccomend the iPhone instead since they ate at the same price point.

I'm basing the iPhone rumor on the fact my SM,DM, and RM are demanding iPhone sales and keep asking for updates every hour.

Oh, I'll have ICS on mine. One way or another. lol

I have zero doubt that ICS will be on the bionic officially and not officially. Dont forget motorola mobility is google owned now or soon to be owned. Also, the razr and bionic do not have major differences in internal parts and they run the same blur ui. So everyone should have some faith. If the d2, d2g, dx all got gingerbread theres no reason to think moto will forget about the bionic.

Motorola is unlike Samsung in regards to support for their products.

My bionic froze up earlier this week. It would go as far as the home screen then nothing. The on off switch would not shut the phone off. A battery pull was the only option at that point and it fixed it.

Page 4 of the users guide says ... "Note: Your touchscreen might stay dark if the sensor just above it is covered. Don't use covers or screen protectors (even clear ones) that cover this sensor."

Even Clear Ones?

Do you have a case on your Bionic? If yes what?
Do you have a screen protector? If yes what?
Do you run with "in pcoket detection" enabled (checked)?

I'be never had a BSOD. I have no case. i have no screen protector. I did not have IPD enabled. I enabled IPD today.

I am waiting to see if the BSOD appears.

The two remaining possibilities seem to be a defective proximity sensor or some odd software glitch.

Yeaaa for making an imoto razor.....what a joke thinking they finally came up with way to not get out of boot loop so bricking will b more common moto fail

And that's pretty much what I'm banking on. That or when ICS does come to the RAZR, someone will port over the ROM.

The razor does have an edge, but I don't need a phone that, under heavy use, only has about 4-5 hours then forces me to start searching for an electrical outlet. I'm happy with my bionic, and I have an extra battery I can drop in if need be. Was on a trip with 3 other workers. They had iphones, I had my bionic. About 4 in the afternoon, they were all fighting for electrical outlets to charge their phones. I still had about 30% life left. When I needed, I just dropped in a fresh battery.

Yep. Seeing as how much of the root exploits and ROM building has come from using the architecture on the D3, I believe all three will be similar (in processor and Blur version). Granted the Razr has the same proc. as the Nexus, I think they should all be quite similar. Same situation as it was with the DX and D2 last year.

And there you have it folks!

:D

You mean iPhones have to be charged as often as Androids?

I thought they went on and on and on and on
