Its not the 4G chip that eats power. It's 4G itself, faster speed = more power drain.isn't it possible a new 4G chip won't draw as much power as the previous 4G phone?
Since you said "possible" ... sure ... now if you said "probable" ...

I have a FEELING, I can't be absolutly sure, that pulling the battery in the Bionic is really overdoing it. I got my Bionic on day one and puled the battery once since then.
The next time you are in a jam and are tempted to pull the batery ... just switch off the screen and switch it back on. If you have the same problem power off the Bionic and power it back on. If you have the same problem pull the battery.
My GUESS is that you will end up never pulling the battery again.
If that is the case, there is no problem with the Razr.

The "unsellable" Bionic.![]()
Within radio shack stores there are many rumors as to why they pulled the bionic. Such as threats from apple to pull iPhones from stores due to low sales.

Screen was still on but everything was unresponsive. I yanked my battery in a hurry, but if I had just waited it probably would have been fine.
Apple threatening them to remove a competitor's phone would be illegal. I really doubt that is what is happening.
I guess its safe to say we wont see ICS on the Bionic...

Oh, I'll have ICS on mine. One way or another. lol

I have zero doubt that ICS will be on the bionic officially and not officially. Dont forget motorola mobility is google owned now or soon to be owned. Also, the razr and bionic do not have major differences in internal parts and they run the same blur ui. So everyone should have some faith. If the d2, d2g, dx all got gingerbread theres no reason to think moto will forget about the bionic.
Motorola is unlike Samsung in regards to support for their products.
And that's pretty much what I'm banking on. That or when ICS does come to the RAZR, someone will port over the ROM.
The razor does have an edge, but I don't need a phone that, under heavy use, only has about 4-5 hours then forces me to start searching for an electrical outlet. I'm happy with my bionic, and I have an extra battery I can drop in if need be. Was on a trip with 3 other workers. They had iphones, I had my bionic. About 4 in the afternoon, they were all fighting for electrical outlets to charge their phones. I still had about 30% life left. When I needed, I just dropped in a fresh battery.
