Root [S-OFF] Juopunutbear S-OFF -Beta Release

I hate to be a noob here, but is my current ROM a stock based rom
(JmzStock_VM_Shooter_Odex)?? I realize it has the word stock in the title but I have see mention of people using RUUs as their stock based ROM, and this is not one of them. And what does "on Harmonia" mean? What is that?

Lastly, The Unlimited.io site says JuopunutBear won't work on Windows 7 64 bit. My computer at home as well as all computers at my work are 64 bit. Is there any other way to run JuopunutBear? Anyone tried running it on 64 bit with any luck?

Harmonia is name of a rom. It can be found on All Things Root page. It doesn't get updated often so scroll down a bit then u will see it. Sadly that's the only thing i am 100% certain of :D be sure to wait for others to post.

People have reported bootloops using that rom trying s-off, I used Midnight and numerous people have reported success with Harmonia, I don't know about the 64 bit issue, my computer dual boots Win 7 64 bit and XP 32 bit so I just used XP myself. It doesn't hurt to try, the most that will happen is that it won't work because of driver issues. Good luck.

I doubt that it was bricked and there are several options on the unlimited.io website to restore your phone plus help available via the IRC channel, but it's too late for that now.

I've never heard of phone that was truly bricked by the wire trick once users figured out to recovery if they couldn't complete it successfully.

I used Harmonia to get S-OFF and I got a bootloop. However, just have a copy of the ROM handy, because I just wiped cached, reflashed it and all was well (no loss of data or anything)

like a boss i bricked my phone XD good thing i already had the gs2
It's probably not bricked. Did you try the restore/recovery procedures on the troubleshooting page of the unlimited.io website? In the worst case you can login to the #juopunutbear IRC channel and they will walk you through the recovery.

You may have entered the deep sleep. It happened to me and I've seen it happen to others. Leave it plugged into the wall for at least 8 hrs. Don't touch it just leave it alone. Could take longer but it will likely wake up again. It really hard to brick this phone.

thanks a lot man only if i knew this before i got the gs2 :P

Also what recovery are you using? Could you provide all of the information from the bootloader screen? Have you tried using fastboot? Fastboot flash boot boot.img then fastboot reboot.

Thanks Brian, OverByter.

Bear's Hboot1.57.5757 for VirginMobile
4ext recovery (bought it)
Stock Rom, just want any nonstock kernel so I can undervolt properly for battery life. Stock kernel I can clock lower on the first core but the 2nd core turns on to full speed at times.

I've tried CoolZ 4.4 or whatever, also Jmz (both versions) and MAC Sense 3.0
Brb battery

Thus far I haven't seen any kernels that had a boot.IMG? Went to S-off because I thought that's what I needed for flashing the kernel zips.
Some kernels like CoolZ say that they flashed ok in 4ext but when I boot up the kernel version is the same and I still don't have voltage tables or anything fun to look at in CPU spy.
Trying to get to a "non-production" environment so that I can ADB push to /system to finish the services.jar or whatever mod for multitasking.

im getting bootloops tried reflashing rom and boot img.... cant access backups on sd card. Any options left? Midnight rom, s-off, 1.57 HBOOT

Idk why it don't work for me. I did it so many time and still nothing. It make a rebooting sound. But still s on. And the controll bear still look the same. Idk what I'm doing wrong... I'm on 1.57

My phone is running HBOOT 1.57, and I successfully remove the S-Off by using Juopunutbear.
I didn't have no time to watch the video, but I read and follow instructions.
Thank you, so much for sharing. :)

Thanks, because the video I saw had some guy on stock GB.

The phone originally shipping with GB, on the unlimited.io site there's actually 4 versions of juoponutbear depending on your software. There are GB and ICS versions for both Windows and Linux.
