hey guys.. I know this has been asked before but I cannot find any concrete answers.

Can I use a Droid X charger to charge an Ally? The Droid X charger is 5.1 volts 850mA.. The Ally I believe has a 4.8 volt charger.. Seems like a big difference. Any feedback is greatly appreciated. :D

View this thread I started a while back and see what you think then?

yeah you can.. ive used my logitech charger since i got the phone and it runs at 5v 1a which is a bit higher... it isn't crazy like that dual charger swc2001 rigged up..(2 amps baby!) the only catch is the battery might die sooner than later due to the extra stress. don't forget a usb port runs at 5v

You can use any charger, but you have to realize that you ARE killing your battery if the charger is more powerful than the one LG supplied.

cool.. thanks for the replies. As long as I don't hurt the phone, I don't care.. Batteries aren't too expensive.
