First let me say that it was due to the contributions here that I was able to successfully root my LG Optimus V almost a year ago... thank you.
But... because I had forgotten about the custom bootloader/recovery I had installed back then, when I went to give my Optimus V to my son, I (like many others before me) did a factory reset.
Searching this and other sites over the course of the last three days, I have managed to get the phone kinda working. I decided that the instructions on this page:
http://androidforums.com/optimus-v-...4-do-not-factory-reset-your-rooted-phone.html
...seemed the most promising and it did allow me to get the phone to back to any kind of functionality.
My problem is that when the phone is shut off or power is removed the phone starts by reformatting and reinstalling Cyanogen.
Since I can't figure out any other way to do it, I've been trying to either reinstall the Xionia CWMA or another recovery via the ADB SHELL. Unfortunately, when I start the ADB SHELL it tells me that the device isn't found.
The phone is in debugging mode, has busybox installed, and the proper drivers installed on the computer.
My end goal is to get the phone back to stock (as close to it as possible) so my son can activate it on his account.
I apologize for being yet another thick-headed donkey, but I'm stuck.
Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.
