Kaessa you must be an outstanding cook.

BTW, boys and girls. For those who live at the redline there is are working 1.6Ghz kernels now for us :D. I'm running the voodoo but there is a non-voodoo as well. The bench marks are wicked

My parents own a restaurant, I kind of grew up with it. I don't get too many complaints.

1.6? I've been hesitant to go over 1.1! I think I'm going to wait and see if this Froyo release on the 11th is real, if so I'll just wait for Froyo. I had it on my Eris and loved it.

What kind of Quadrant scores are you getting?

Kaessa, how was the 90 Schilling?

Yeah, 1.6 is quite awesome, I'd be interested to hear your benchmarks saps (quadrant, linpack, speed pi, benchmark pi etc). But is it really 1.6? I've been following the thread at xda and it seems like morfic is saying it isn't a "true" 1.6. Correct me if I'm wrong though.

EDIT: I think I understand the argument as it is panning out now. Disregard the latter part above.

Well guys I have a thread here with all the links http://androidforums.com/fascinate-all-things-root/210499-1-6ghz-its-real.html

But to partially answer your guys' question Im 2500+ in quadrant, LinPack 13.6, SpeedPi 369ms and Benchmark Pi 1540ms.
Despite the skepticism at xda I believe its real. The numbers scale precisely as they should to be a genuine 1.6. I have run many tests at 800Mhz and this 1.6 truly is nearly double the performance in every cpu dependent test. Its also remarkably stably. Four other bonuses:
a]kernel supports custom bootanimations
b]beav turned down the voltage on the lower settings like 100Mhz so when you phone is idling now its drawing even less power to prolong battery life
c]This kernel is as stable if not more than the 1200LV from Dirrk Im so fond of.
d]You get BLN. So when you have a missed text or call your soft keys stay lit, a la an LED notification.
Its a cannot lose decision. Great thing is if for some reason it does not work just flash back to your old one. Comes in voodoo and no voodoo flavors

i really wish i was linux-savy and was able to do 1/10th of what these guys can do. im mildly proud of myself that i can use the sdk, adb, and make update.zips :) when 3 months ago i was a blackberry guy.

in any event im inclined to think of this kernel as a 1.4+ thats stable and now that voodoo is out, ill see what i can sees

I got two outta three of those and I feel like a total geek sometimes (still dont' know how to package things in an udate.zip) . I talk about phones and all the things you can do with them all day and I watch as my words fly over the heads of most people. Then I come here and am humbled time and time again by all the stuff I don't know.

Delicious! It's a really dark, slightly bitter ale, really enjoyable. Great finish.

Nice! I've never had any of Odell's offerings but have heard good things.

I'm really liking the sound of this so far :) ...

I'm with you nitsuj, these guys are incredible. 3 months ago I had a Samsung Alias 2 :o, so I'm just proud of what I've done so far with this phone. Always want to learn more though.

well tbh ive never made an update.zip from start to finish. i just unpackage and repackage them to include what i want to put together. (ie unzip the folders, replace frameworks or service.jars, repackage in winzip and push to phone)

Still dunno how to do that, so thumbs up in my book!

omg jumbalya and cold pizza and milk in the same thread. I think I might die fromthe amount of awesome In here. On a side note: jumbalya is super easy to make if its from the zatarans mix. INCREDIBLY tastey too!

The following message is directed at certain commenters on another site. I don't feel like going on an all-out vent there, so I'll do it here where I trust you guys.

Dear Commenters Who Replied Regarding App Permissions,

I now know that the market will ask to manually update an auto-updated app if the permissions are changed. The first person pointed this out and I acknowledged his correction. I do not need four more people to say the exact same thing (in varying degrees of actual English), nor do I need two more people also telling me after I said again that yes, I believe the five other people. You guys do not sound smart, and are in fact exceedingly irritating. Please go shove your phone in the nearest wood chipper.

Sincerely,
Really, I got it now, it tells you

Dunno why, but I seem to use larger words when irritated/defensive. My guess is it's a thing similar to when birds puff up to look larger and more intimidating *shrugs* Actually having a decent day, though. Looking forward to going home and shooting the crap outta people in S4.

You people and your rooting voodooing savvyness. I...uhh...know how to turn my phone on. That's about the ceiling of my knowledge ATM...

currently trying to figure out how to add 3 boot option into a theme. im like 75% of the way there (i think anyway), but ill most likely have to step back and figure it out tomorrow. staring at the computer for too long today

I've never tried the mix, though I do love Zatarain's Dirty Rice mix. I'll have to give it a try if I'm in a hurry next time.

I love working in the mall. people(making fun of people) watching is one of my favorite pasttimes.

I love people watching! When we go to the mall, I get one of the loaner wheelchairs and my son drives me around. I've noticed when I'm parked in that thing I'm "invisible" to people. I get to watch people without them even noticing.

Lol, why thank you. Nothing like a good ol' bloodbath to make ya feel better. And hm, that is an idea - although I'm more of a SMG person, really. Plus the occasional revolver headshot. *evil laugh*
