Maybe thats karma for me:o, it was 27 this morning, heat cranked.
Might not see 40 this week again :(

We'll have highs in the low 40's all week, it looks like. Currently sitting at my computer with a long sleeved shirt, fleece lined hoodie, fleece slippers... and considering putting on my fingerless gloves.

I think I need to turn the heat up again.

I would love that kind of weather!! I hate Florida it's just heat humidity and grouchy snow birds!

Come to Colorado... Cold winters, dry, clean air, and all the snow birds have gone south for the winter!
Yeah same here everyone is starting to leave if they havent yet. Im on the east side of the Cascades so we dont get nearly the precip of the Seattle area which only gets cold rain, we get snow if anything makes it over the mountains

Hmm I wonder i they have a name for southerners who go up north for the winter?

Texans. ;)

People who've never driven in the mountains should NOT be allowed to drive over Colorado mountain passes in the winter. Ever.

Seriously... imagine a flatlander in a 30 foot RV going over that pass. It's not a pretty sight. It's scary to ME and I've been over it dozens of times... and this video does not capture the worst of it. Now imagine that with a foot of snow on the road and more coming down.

It's almost enough to make you cry.

Damn, took me three tries to get that video to not screw up the whole page, what's up with that?

No way not me! I can only imagine the accidents, but oh what a view!

It's spectacular. That cliff is about 1000 feet straight down... here's a shot I took from further up the pass looking back toward the place where the video was shot. The SUV that I circled is about where the video ended.

Click to embiggen and get the full effect.

I would love to have a day there with my camera, that really looks fantastic!

I moved from Hawaii to Washington and most people call me an idiot :p. People always ask why, I tell them "for the winter."

WOW did you shoot that yourself. There are a few places like that up here in the cascades. Very picturesque

Sometimes I get the same probably with you tube vids even though I copy and paste the url the same way every time; just happens I suppose

No, I just swiped it from YouTube, I haven't had anything that will shoot video in ages. Next time I go over the pass I'll shoot it with my phone. :D

In 720P, although I'd be leary holding the slippery sucker that is the SF on the back of a cycle at speed

Hawaii would be nice to visit but I really want to live where it snows. I remember last year we we're flying back from our honeymoon we went from Vegas, to MSP airport then on home. We had something crazy like 10 minutes to get from one terminal to the other at MSP and while running all I could see was heaps and heaps of white fluffy snow but because we had to be on another plane all I got was a picture :( Oh and not to mention flying through snow and looking at all the white covered roofs!

I have a heavy rugged case so I won't drop it. Besides, we drive over that pass in the F350 diesel 4x4. No worries about dropping my phone from inside that monster. :)

I hear you on that. I spent way too many years in California with no snow for the winter. I need seasons, dammit!

What kind of case do you have?

I have no protection on mine but I really need to put something on it.

I've given up hope that they'll make cute but functional cases it's one or the other usually but I'd rather protect than cute"ify".

I got Best Buy's Platinum Series case. It's expensive ($30), but I had a coupon that I needed to use and it was the only case they had in stock. It's kind of a hard rubberized two-piece case, and it adds a (I think) nice amount of bulk to the phone. I drop things a lot, so I needed something to help my grip. It's a bit of a pain to put on, and almost as much of a pain to take off, but it looks good and I think it provides pretty good protection. I don't have a screen cover at the moment, but this has a raised edge around the screen so it keeps my screen from getting scratched if I lay it face down for some reason.

ETA: If you want me to, I can take a picture of it and post it. Not a lot of good pictures online.

I would love to see a pic!

These are not the best pictures, the lighting in this room is a little dim:

Uhg. Now I'm looking at the wrx. The srt4 is alluring but there is no doubt that a subby is very sexy. Although finding one with the same mileage and not over 12k is difficult. 9k is about my limit and a wrx is JUST outside or that range. Looks like the srt4 is still at the top of the list.

Bored.

Need to look for icons, and I've spent the last hour looking at lolcats. Need to clean my kitchen, and I'm posting here. I'm feeling exceptionally lazy this evening, and I just don't care. :D
