Cyanogenmod isn't available for the Ace 2. (plus they're up to 10 now :p)

Feedback for the JellyBean firmware on this device is scattered throughout the thread if you look. The MC8 version is a little unstable but can be sorted with a couple of fixes. The ME7 is pretty much same as MC8. MF1 is apparently far more stable and better optimised.

Unless you meant MC8 and not CM8. :s

That is strange...
Never happened to me yet.
*Try downloading the firmware again. Is possible that the copy you using could be damaged by a faulty download?!
*Remember to unzip the package before you flash it.

Edit:
The XXME1 firmware is for the
GT-I8160P version NFC enabled.
Remember to flash the correct firmware for your device.

i've download it from samsung-updates i tried to fix it but i still have the same problem

Do some troubleshooting...
* verify that you have the "P" version of the ace 2.
*Use a different copy of the firmware. Try from "Sammobile".
*Download another copy of "Odin".
*Check again that the Samsung drivers are installed.
* Remember to put your phone in developer mode...

I sent you a pm with extra guidance.

I hope you can find a solution to that problem.

i'v checked the number at the back of the battery and it is i8160p .i have made a screenshot

If there is a problem with your current firmware than all you need is to do a factory reset before you try to update and that should fix it.

But you can always flash the original firmware again... Or the German Ginger Bread (DBT).

Also try and deactivate the firewall in your PC as that can interfere with the update.
 
Finaly jb philipines has arive on my kies so far its stable than the other jb

Hi @the_cr7,
The (DBT) XXLK2 looks to be the perfect candidate.
And after you update, than check on "Kies" first for the JB update.
As it might give you the update straight away.

I did also find another DBT firmware
XXLE6 but is older than the XXLK2.

On a different subject,
What region is the (jpld6) firmware?

i tried to update it from GB: jpld6 (maybe morocco version) to german GB I8160PXXLK2. but when the update in odin reachrd the word "modem" this word(custom pwr mgt binary) reappeared.. what's the solution???

I just done a search to diagnose the problem you having and the results I found:

*Some are related to people that used (J Tag) in their phones at some point.

*And people that flashed firmware for the (GT-I8160) on a (GT-I8160p).
If that is the case?
Than you can recover your phone again by following the steps provided in this thread:

You will find all the information, instructions, links and tools in that thread.

You can merge all your contacts to your Google account and recover them all again and also your apps will come back from Google play store.
Your pictures, music and videos will remain if they are stored in your external sd card.
But you can and should also do a backup of your phone using Kies for safe keeping.

Follow all the instructions carefully.
And do a research before you do anything in case you are not confident about something.

The GT-I8160P is NFC enabled.
If you flash a non NFC firmware, you will loose the NFC capability.
And the only way to get it back is by following the instructions in that thread.
If you don't have any use for NFC ?
Than you can easily use the firmware for the (GT-I8160).

I searched for the (PDA:I8160JPLD6) firmware and found out that is the Moroccan/Arabic firmware like you said.
But the intriguing part is that is the same firmware for the GT-I8160 as well. So maybe you are already using a non (P) firmware...?
The question is do you have nfc working in your phone?

I really don't want to give you any bad advice and I'm worried if you damage your phone in the process.

i've searched my phone and i did not find the nfc .i am afraid that when i tried to flash it with I8160PXXLK2 and it did not work, the "csc" might have changed as i mentioned above
is there any problem with that change?????
 
Since you didn't find the NFC,
And you have no use for it...
You might as well just flash the standard GT-I8160 firmware.
You can change the CSC on the phone and there shouldn't be any problem by doing it.

i will flash it with JB I8160 (non p) DBT-I8160XXMF1 and i will let go of nfc because the process of recovery is diffiicult for me
 
I am using MG2, works very well for me, I have not noticed any lag any different from ginger bread, but on a real plus point my battery lasts much longer. Having said that I trimmed the fat from the phone whilst I was at it.
 
Thanks Graham. I have flashed MG2 over my existing MC8 and its working fine so far. This time I also did factory reset and wipe partition cache after the flashing, which I hadnt done last time, so I guess/hope that should help.

Another thing I read in this thread:

is that the method to get 624MB RAM by initially flashing MB2/MB4, maybe the cause of the slowness and they are suggesting flashing MG2 directly on Gingerbread and then increasing the RAM to 624MB by flashing the modified ROM, posted in the thread. What do you guys think?
