Samsung Galaxy Note Cases

Here is my case: :D

SGP Ultra Capsule. Buttons work perfectly and the case protects the bezel without adding bulk:

Do the whites not match in real life or is it just the pictures?

Also my lady just got me this:

Do you REALLY need a case? I remember getting case fever when I first got my Desire, got a case, a screen protector, the lot..... Threw it all in the bin after about 2 weeks because the screen protector just made the screen look pants and the case collected dust and just looked scruffy. 24 months later and the desire looks as good as the day I got it. I just looked after it. You know the basics, don't carry it in the same pocket as anything hard, dont drop it, just look after it. The screens are gorilla glass and very scratch resistant and the covers all cost a few pence to replace. Even if you have a case and you drop it, it's probably going to cop for some damage so is it worth bothering about? :D

i agree..

just sold my desire that i had for two years, was always kept in a gel case and a scruffy looking (after a month) screen protector. looked as good as new when i stripped them off to sell it.

trouble was it was 100% sexier without the protection gubbins and made little or no difference to the resale value. so with hindsight i would have preferred to have the desire naked for the two years as aeshetically it is awesome naked, instead of nannying it for two years and putting up with compromised aesthetics!

I want to add some new backgrounds for the S memo app.

I can't find the folder that contain the 8 basic backgrounds (including the music sheet).

If anyone can help ...

Thanks,

Claude

Opps wrong thread ... need admin help to move in appropiate thread.

Open Note.
Click any page to load the S Memo page.
Click Menu Button (bottom LH side).
Select "Change Background".
Your 8 pages are there. Set Skin.

I went with the Case-Mate 'Barely There' case. I too liked the feel of the InCase Slider Case on my iPhone and this one feels the same but it quite a bit thinner. I'm really liking it. $25

This looks a lot like the Feather cases from Incipio. I have one on my NS4G and I'm loving it. I would either go with something like this, or a 3m style skin for maximum svelt(ness).

Has anyone had an issue with plugging in the charger with any of these cases? I just got a Nilkin and the sides of the charger plug were being blocked a ittle bit by the case

Not really a case but more of a cover comes with screen protector, free shipping to US and Canada. I ordered the brushed steel for my note and carbon fibre for the wife's S2 :)

Not with the Seidio one. I'll let you know if the Game Boy one fits right.

FYI Amazon tends to buy their cases in bulk and then sell them for cheaper. This might cover some of that cost plus Amazon may ship for cheaper so keep an eye open.

I have only been able to find cases on eBay (shipping directly from China). They are supposed to take a few weeks to get here. I'll be very carefull untill then. I'd sure like an Otterbox for it like I have on my GS2.

Otterbox' Facebook page says that they'll have one in late May or early June in the US.

I had a hard protective case for my Desire for the first year and then it broke (it was only a cheap one and there was a weak spot in a thin area of the moulding; in fact I had two as the supplier replace the first one) and after that I didn't bother with a hard case; I simply used a soft pocket style case and pulled it out when needed. Even so, the window over the camera lens eventually got scuffed and I had to buy a new back.

The Note is very different; it's large and by all accounts the screen is quite vulnerable. The camera lens is just as exposed as the Desire's. For me a case is essential, and not just for the back; the front as well and not using those nasty stick-on screen protectors.

How do you make calls with this? Do you fold it 180 degrees? I'm asking because I got this too, and while it no doubt protects the phone, it's a little inconvenient to make calls with a book against your head. Also, I'm afraid that frequent folding of the flip cover will eventually damage it.
I've found the flip cover quite durable and no damage to the face of my phone. It's not bulky at all. However, it's really awkward when you're trying to take a picture. And it's totally not drop-proof! The back goes flying off and the battery pops out. Found a bevy of beautiful cases at AccessoryGeeks.com and am waiting for my new rubberized case.
